Two 77-year-old McKinney residents died Friday evening after a silver Hyundai and an orange BMW collided at Custer Road and Bedford Road, police said.<\/p>\n
McKinney police responded at approximately 6:26 p.m. July 17 and announced<\/a> the deaths Saturday. Officers documented the investigation under case number 26-005614.<\/p>\n Police identified the Hyundai\u2019s driver and passenger as Sandra Lee Lazarus and William Lavich Lazarus, both 77. Emergency personnel pronounced both McKinney residents dead at the scene.<\/p>\n BMW driver and passengers hospitalized<\/p>\n Police identified the BMW driver as James Armont, 51. Armont and the vehicle\u2019s passengers went to a local hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n McKinney police had not publicly announced an arrest or charges as of 5:02 p.m. Saturday. The department\u2019s latest release said investigators continued examining the collision.<\/p>\n Police have not publicly described how the vehicles collided, identified which vehicle had the right of way or said whether speed, impairment or distraction contributed to the crash.
