The home at 2707 Englave Drive was designed by Tivador Balogh in 1965 for the late Richard and Claire Malvin. Balogh, then a student of famed architect Robert Metcalf, included his signature flat roof, redwood cedar paneling and open sightlines as well as a wealth of built-in cabinetry and furniture.<\/p>\n

Visitors to the home enter through a glass-walled entryway into a foyer illuminated by a globe-shaped fixture that leads to the open-concept living room. A brick fireplace, stained glass accent window and Herman Miller-designed custom shelves create a cozy corner along the redwood-paneled wall. On the opposite side of the room, floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of light for the built-in planter box.<\/p>\n

Custom cabinetry in the dining area and kitchen provide 1960s charm, while a built-in dining area with panoramic views offers a perfect breakfast nook.<\/p>\n

The primary suite features a custom wardrobe and dresser, as well as a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. Two additional bedrooms feature matching built-in cabinetry, desks and bookshelves.<\/p>\n

The home\u2019s split upper level serves as a perfect open office area and connects the main floor to the wooden rooftop deck, which features 360-degree views.<\/p>\n

The finished lower level features more redwood paneling, walk-out access to the wooded backyard and even a dedicated photographic darkroom.<\/p>\n

Other features of the home include an attached two-car garage, main-floor laundry and a rear deck accessible through sliding glass doors from the living room.<\/p>\n
