A young mother who was killed in a devastating house fire has been remembered as vibrant and kind, with beautiful soul.<\/p>\n
Isabella Nicholls, 21, died in hospital in the aftermath of a blaze in a unit on Queensland\u2019s Sunshine Coast.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to an address on King Street in Buderim about 7.30pm on Sunday, where they found one of the units engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n
Ms Nicholls, who was inside the property at the time, managed to escape the flames and was rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n
But police confirmed on Monday that after being treated at the Royal Brisbane and Women\u2019s Hospital for serious burns, she died as a result of her injuries.<\/p>\n
On Monday evening, a fundraising page was set up in her memory and to support her grieving family.<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite the incredible efforts of the medical team, our precious girl passed away surrounded by loving family,\u201d the page read.<\/p>\n
\u201cIsabella was a devoted and loving mother to her beautiful boy … who will now grow up without his mummy.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was also a much-loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur family is absolutely shattered by this unimaginable loss and the heartbreak is beyond words.\u201d<\/p>\n
The devastating blaze saw several neighbours evacuated from their homes, with police appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information.<\/p>\n
Investigations are continuing into what caused the fire, which also saw a woman in her 30s assessed by paramedics.<\/p>\n
Queensland Police Senior Sergeant Robert Lowry said investigations were at \u201ca very early stage\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have declared a crime scene. We\u2019re speaking to people,\u201d he told ABC. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey are assisting us with our inquiries and we will continue that process and we\u2019ll probably know more at the end of the day.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe scene was quite confronting for all emergency services that attended and support is being provided.<\/p>\n
