Watch the trailer above.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWritten and directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/michael-dowse\/\" id=\"auto-tag_michael-dowse\" data-tag=\"michael-dowse\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Dowse<\/a>, who previously collaborated with Baruchel on the cult hockey comedy\u00a0Goon,\u00a0The Stunt Driver\u00a0is billed as telling the true underdog story of Carter, picking up with the world champion stunt driver in the mid-seventies as he battles personal demons and public doubt to attempt what everyone considers impossible \u2014 a mile-long jump across the St. Lawrence river in a rocket car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPic has <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/ben-foster\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ben-foster\" data-tag=\"ben-foster\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ben Foster<\/a> (Hell or High Water) playing the iconic Evel Knievel. Laurence Leboeuf (Shoresy), Dan Bakkedahl (Veep) and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/ed-helms\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ed-helms\" data-tag=\"ed-helms\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Helms<\/a> (The Hangover) also star.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDowse, who is otherwise known for work on titles like\u00a0Trap House\u00a0and the Amazon series\u00a0The Sticky, told Deadline, \u201cWhat captivated me wasn\u2019t simply the spectacle of Ken Carter\u2019s legendary jump, but the humanity behind it.
