FORT WORTH \u2014\u00a0Chipmaking giant Nvidia is betting big on North Texas being a key factor in the world\u2019s AI revolution; so much so its celebrity-status CEO Jensen Huang visited the region for the second time in as many months.<\/p>\n

He spent Tuesday afternoon at Wistron\u2019s\u00a0new manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, where Nvidia AI supercomputers will be built and tested\u00a0as part of a greater effort to reshore high-tech manufacturing.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to reindustrialize the United States and bring back, or onshore, manufacturing again,\u201d Huang\u00a0told The Dallas Morning News in an exclusive interview before the event. \u201cIf you look at the last several years as the AI journey stated, we\u2019ve created chip plants in the United States, packaging plants, testing companies, and here we are manufacturing and assembling these giant supercomputers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nvidia\u2019s AI supercomputers are the \u201cengines of a new type of data center created for the sole purpose of processing artificial intelligence\u00a0\u2014 AI factories that are the infrastructure powering a new AI industry,\u201d according to the company.<\/p>\n
