{"id":950869,"date":"2026-07-22T01:47:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T01:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/950869\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T01:47:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T01:47:19","slug":"patrick-mahomes-set-to-be-fully-cleared-7-months-after-tearing-acl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/950869\/","title":{"rendered":"Patrick Mahomes set to be &#8216;fully cleared&#8217; 7 months after tearing ACL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chiefs fans will likely have their two-time MVP quarterback return sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Mahomes is expected to be \u201cfully cleared\u201d this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/albert-breer-biggest-storylines-nfl-training-camp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">per Sports Illustrated\u2019s Albert Breer<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/06\/sports\/patrick-mahomes-injury-update-hes-just-different\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL<\/a> in Week 15 and underwent surgery on Dec. 15.<\/p>\n<p>Mahomes was a full participant at Chiefs OTAs in May in both individuals and 7-on-7s, donning a yellow non-contact jersey. <\/p>\n<p>During Phase III, the team kept him out of 11-on-11 drills as a precaution.
