{"id":951458,"date":"2026-07-22T08:35:21","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T08:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/951458\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T08:35:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T08:35:21","slug":"video-shows-car-flipped-on-roof-in-chicagos-pilsen-neighborhood-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/951458\/","title":{"rendered":"Video shows car flipped on roof in Chicago\u2019s Pilsen neighborhood \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A car was left overturned and badly damaged its driver veered off the side of a railroad viaduct in Chicago and landed on several parked cars on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago police said a 53-year-old man was traveling eastbound in a sedan on a railroad gravel road above West 16th Street when he lost control and struck two vehicles in the street below.<\/p>\n<p>Video posted to social media around 5:15 p.m. showed the vehicle flipped on its roof and resting on at least one other vehicle near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Blue Island Avenue in the city&#8217;s Pilsen neighborhood. <\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the driver of the vehicle declined medical attention but a 44-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was taken to a local hospital, where she was initially listed in fair condition. <\/p>\n<p>Police said the driver was not cited. <\/p>\n<p>The front windshield of the car could be seen completely shattered, and the driver&#8217;s side door, back windshield and sunroof were completely busted out, video showed.
