For one night only, attendees dress in all white and flock to the 200 and 300 blocks of <strong>historic 19th Street <\/strong>in The Heights to support local businesses. The neighborhood-wide celebration features <strong>live music, pub crawls, and house parties <\/strong>for an unforgettable evening out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local lore, White Linen Night was founded by Louisiana transplants <strong>Chris and Kay Thayer<\/strong>. Hoping to bring a taste of home to Houston, they<strong> recreated the traditional New Orleans arts celebration<\/strong> to champion the local artists and small businesses of The Heights.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"693\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/FotoJet-2026-07-22T144533.553-1024x693.jpg\" alt=\"Image shows a huge crowd of people wearing white linen in The Heights for White Linen Nights. \" class=\"wp-image-36245\"  \/>Photo credi:shopheights19th<\/p>\n<p>When is White Linen Night in The Heights 2026?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Heights welcomes back White Linen Night on<strong> August 1.<\/strong> Though the neighborhood will be buzzing with all-day celebrations, the event\u2019s official prime time kicks off at <strong>6 pm and winds down around 10 pm<\/strong>\u2014at least, officially speaking!<\/p>\n<p>Where is White Linen Night in Houston? <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">West 19th Street is both the historic origin and current hub of White Linen Night. Over time, however, the massive annual event has expanded well beyond its original footprint, spreading throughout <strong>The Heights <\/strong>and extending as far as White Oak Drive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The largest concentration of White Linen Night activities will take place on West 19th Street. The street will be packed with over <strong>50 local artisan vendors, street performers, live music, and DJs<\/strong>. Local shops, galleries, and boutiques stay open late, and you will find plenty of food and drinks from Houston chefs and pop-up vendors. Coolers and pets allowed. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <strong>4:00 pm to 9:00 pm<\/strong>, M-K-T (on North Shepherd) is hosting its <strong>4th annual sitewide open-air market<\/strong>. It is completely free to attend, pet-friendly, and features the Houston Plant Market, local artisans, a raffle, and live entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Is White Linen Night ticketed? <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the third consecutive year, the 19th Street footprint is a ticketed event. <strong>Early bird tickets are $15<\/strong>, and <strong>general admission is $20<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlnon19th.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/www.wlnon19th.com\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_non_sales\">available here<\/a>. Kids 12 and under get in for free.
