Now that he\u2019s no longer mayor, Eric Adams<\/a> can devote his time and energy to his true passion: partying<\/a>. Over the weekend, the former mayor went to a Sports Illustrated party at Cipriani, where, according to \u201cPage Six,\u201d<\/a> he was \u201cflocked\u201d by women \u2014 a couple of whom even got his number. Just because Adams no longer lives in Gracie Mansion<\/a> doesn\u2019t mean he can\u2019t mix and mingle with the good people of New York!<\/p>\n

\u201cPage Six\u201d reported that Adams was looking \u201cchummy\u201d with several women who were trying to chat with him. One partygoer told the outlet that Adams exchanged numbers with two brunettes. \u201cI don\u2019t think he knew people could see him in action,\u201d the source said. \u201cHis table was right by the stage.\u201d Sounds like Adams had a great time! Besides, his longtime partner, former NYC Department of Education staffer Tracey Collins, wasn\u2019t with him, so who else was he supposed to talk to?<\/p>\n

While it may sound like Adams was getting flirty with his former constituents, a spokesperson for the politician promised that couldn\u2019t be further from the truth. \u201cEric Adams didn\u2019t earn the nickname \u2018the Nightlife Mayor\u2019 by sitting home on Saturday nights,\u201d Adams\u2019s rep told \u201cPage Six.\u201d \u201cEric arrived on his own, greeted people, met new faces, and like he\u2019s done for more than 40 years, exchanged phone numbers. That\u2019s called networking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams\u2019s rep went on to insist that \u201cthere was absolutely nothing improper\u201d about what the former mayor was getting up to at Cipriani. \u201cEric Adams has always enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life, and Saturday night was no different,\u201d he said. Is the spokesperson doth protesting a little much? Who\u2019s to say? Maybe he really was just networking and those women will be joining him for a super buttoned-up meeting at Zero Bond next week.<\/p>\n
