Officers spoke with Moss and his girlfriend at the hospital, who told them the incident occurred at their apartment on S. Flannery Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the affidavit, Moss told investigators he had placed a loaded gun underneath a pillow in his bedroom. While he and his girlfriend were upstairs, the two-year-old gained access to the weapon and accidentally fired it. Moss and his girlfriend then drove the child to the hospital in a private vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The child\u2019s condition has not been released.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Former Texas A&amp;M running back Le\u2019Veon Moss was arrested Monday in Baton Rouge.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/W3NKNTHSENAHRGJZG6QKNZX7EY.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Former Texas A&amp;M running back Le\u2019Veon Moss was arrested Monday in Baton Rouge.(KBTX)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The affidavit states that \u201cdue to Moss\u2019 negligence, a child under the age of seventeen suffered unjustifiable pain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Moss, 23, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one felony count of cruelty to juveniles under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:93. Bond has been set at $25,000. Online records show Moss remains in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Moss is a Baton Rouge native who attended Istrouma High School before going on to play four seasons at Texas A&amp;M. During his college career, he appeared in 32 games, carrying the ball 321 times for 1,767 yards and 22 touchdowns. He earned Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">His college career was marked by significant injuries, including a torn ACL and MCL during the 2024 season and an ankle injury in 2025 that limited his playing time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Moss went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft before signing with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in May.
