If you haven\u2019t seen the show celebrating Lowell\u2019s 200th birthday at the Whistler House Museum of Art, you still have time since it continues through Aug. 1.<\/p>\n
This extension comes after\u00a0receiving wide recognition in social media, periodicals and publications, and particularly in the\u00a0Lowell Sun\u00a0and\u00a0Artscope Magazine.<\/p>\n
Lowell holds a pivotal role in American History as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Its textile mills transformed manufacturing, labor and urban life. Today, Lowell\u2019s preserved canals, mills and neighborhoods stand as enduring symbols of American ingenuity, social change and the complex legacy of industrialization.<\/p>\n
From exterior and interior locations of the textile mills, to urban landscapes and cultural events in Lowell, the exhibition shows the history of Lowell and America as seen in numerous dramatic pieces of art.<\/p>\n
