CMA FEST PRESENTED BY SOFI – Hosted by multi-award-winning country star Riley Green and Emmy Award-winning anchor and host from ABC’s “Good Morning America” Lara Spencer, “CMA Fest presented by SoFi” is a three-hour concert event, filmed during the 53rd CMA Fest in downtown Nashville. This special airs Thursday, June 25, at 8/7c on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu. Hip-hop powered much of the technology’s early growth, and pop music quickly followed. Country and rock took longer to establish the same kind of popularity on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.

Things have changed dramatically in only a few years. Newer country superstars including Morgan Wallen — and now Ella Langley — have become some of the biggest acts on streaming sites in America. “Choosin’ Texas,” the song that transformed Langley from a genre favorite into a crossover superstar less than a year ago, is not only one of country music’s largest digital wins. It now ranks among the longest-running No. 1 hits of any style in the history of Billboard’s all-encompassing streaming roster.

Ella Langley’s Hit Reaches 15 Weeks at No. 1

“Choosin’ Texas” is in control of the Streaming Songs chart for a milestone fifteenth week as it keeps exactly where it has appeared for several frames in a row. The ranking orders the most-played tracks of any genre across major streaming platforms in the United States. It is one of several component tallies – with the Digital Song Sales and Radio Songs rankings – that help build the Billboard Hot 100 each week.

Langley’s breakout smash is only the fifth tune ever to spend at least 15 frames at the peak. It has now run the show for one-third of the 39 weeks it has racked up on the tally. So far, no other song by the country singer-songwriter has reached No. 1 on the list, though Langley has scored several additional top 10s.

Ella Langley Passes Two Hip-Hop Blockbusters

With another week in first place, “Choosin’ Texas” breaks out of a tie with two enormous hip-hop hits. Last frame, Langley was matched with Desiigner’s “Panda” and “Rockstar” by Post Malone and 21 Savage. For a time, all three had accumulated 14 weeks at No. 1. “Choosin’ Texas” now solely claims the fifth-longest reign in Streaming Songs history, while “Panda” and “Rockstar” descend together on the all-time ranking, tied for sixth place.

Will “Choosin’ Texas” Tie “Despacito” Next?

Langley may advance again when Billboard publishes its charts again in a few days. One more frame at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart will help “Choosin’ Texas” match “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, which dominated the streaming roster for 16 weeks in 2017.

Ella Langley Could Soon Match Morgan Wallen’s Record

After matching “Despacito,” Langley would need to hold steady on top for nearly another month before reaching the next title on the historic list. Wallen’s “Last Night” spent 19 weeks at No. 1, and it holds the distinction of claiming the longest reign by a country smash on the Streaming Songs tally.

One additional frame beyond that would place Langley on the same level as “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, one of only two tracks to reach 20 weeks or more in first place – and another country cut, though not one that’s as “traditional” as “Choosin’ Texas” or “Last Night.”

The all-time record sits considerably farther away. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has accumulated 26 weeks at No. 1 – half a year – though that total has been spread across multiple holiday seasons. Carey’s blockbuster first reached the summit in 2019 and has returned during almost every Christmas season since then, including earlier in 2026. Just as it does on the Billboard Hot 100, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” typically reclaims the Streaming Songs peak each December and often holds into January.

Ella Langley Rules the Country Streaming Chart Again

“Choosin’ Texas” has managed an even longer reign on the Country Streaming Songs chart, which narrows its focus to the most-played country tracks in America. Langley has kept her blockbuster track at No. 1 for 28 of the single’s 39 weeks on that tally.

Ella Langley Leads Five Billboard Charts

Langley released “Choosin’ Texas” last fall, and though it initially became a major country hit, it didn’t take long before it grew into a general smash early in 2026. Months after it first reached the masses, the track continues to appear on 11 Billboard rankings and holds at No. 1 on five of them. That roundup includes the Billboard Hot 100, Digital Song Sales and Hot Country Songs charts.

“Choosin’ Texas” has also crossed over to pop radio. The single returns to its No. 10 peak on the Adult Contemporary roster, climbs to No. 6 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart and holds at No. 13 on the Pop Airplay ranking after previously reaching No. 11.

ForbesElla Langley’s Historic No. 1 Outsold This Week’s Next Two Bestsellers CombinedBy Hugh McIntyre

Ella Langley’s “Choosin Texas” leads Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart for a milestone fifteenth week, becoming one of only…

[29
115623,370250,370251,365692,365694,365695,383957,383956,383955,171,975,383954,67,132,68
post-954183","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-music","tag-ella-langley","tag-ella-langley-billboard","tag-ella-langley-charts","tag-ella-langley-choosin-texas","tag-ella-langley-choosin-texas-billboard","tag-ella-langley-choosin-texas-charts","tag-ella-langley-choosin-texas-sales","tag-ella-langley-forbes","tag-ella-langley-streaming","tag-entertainment","tag-music","tag-streaming-songs","tag-united-states","tag-unitedstates","tag-us
["GET
