QuikTrip<\/a>\u00a0is continuing its expansion into the Midwest market<\/a> with the opening of a new store near Chicago.<\/p>\n Located at 710 W. 172nd St. in South Holland, Illinois, the store is designed to serve both residents and drivers traveling through the area along the Tri-State Tollway, the company said.<\/p>\n \u201cCities and towns across Chicagoland and the state of Illinois have continued to embrace QT, and we are excited to join the South Holland community,\u201d said Aisha Jefferson, QuikTrip corporate communications manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n The c-store chain\u2019s new travel center features a larger lot and a more spacious store design than a traditional QuikTrip and has room to service 16 vehicles for gas. It also has six diesel bays for trucks.<\/p>\n Inside the travel center, QuikTrip features a full-service kitchen with fresh, made-to-order meals and grab-and-go options, including breakfast sandwiches, pizza by the slice, roller-grill items and more.<\/p>\n The new travel center expands on the company\u2019s recent growth in the Chicago metropolitan area.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, QuikTrip opened two locations in the Chicago suburbs of Minooka and Bridgeview. The company said construction is now underway in the Chicago suburb of Rolling Meadows as well as in Kankakee, which is in northeastern Illinois.<\/p>\n Founded in 1958, QuikTrip\u00a0has grown to a more than $11 billion company with more than 1,200 convenience stores in 22 states. It employs over 34,000 people.<\/p>\n\n
