With Gears of War<\/a> set to make its PS5 debut next month as part of The Coalition\u2019s Reloaded<\/a> remaster of the original game, we\u2019d always suspected prequel E-Day<\/a> would release on Sony\u2019s system as well.<\/p>\n

And now, as rumours swirl of impending Microsoft announcements<\/a>, an employee resume appears to have spilled the beans on the upcoming release.<\/p>\n

On his website, level designer Mihir Modak<\/a> \u2013 who\u2019s worked at The Coalition since 2024 \u2013 lists the game\u2019s target platforms as \u201cPC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S\u201d.<\/p>\n

The page is filled with intricate detail about his work, so it\u2019s hard to imagine this information was included as a mistake.<\/p>\n

However, on a similar page<\/a> about Homeworld 3<\/strong><\/a>, he includes the same three systems, despite the RTS only ever launching on PC. Perhaps he was working on a port which never released?<\/p>\n

Either way, it wouldn\u2019t really be a stretch to see E-Day launch on the PS5, would it?<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a little more information about the game, courtesy of Xbox.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“Fourteen years before Gears of War, war heroes Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago return home to face a new nightmare: the Locust Horde. These subterranean monsters, grotesque and relentless, erupt from below, laying siege on humanity itself.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At this point, pretty much all of Xbox\u2019s games are releasing on Sony\u2019s console, and seeing as this one is set 14 years before the first game, it should be pretty easy for PlayStation fans to pick up the plot.<\/p>\n

As alluded to above, a recent report<\/a> noted that Microsoft is poised to make more multiformat announcements imminently.<\/p>\n

So far, it\u2019s seen colossal success porting its games to PS5, with Forza Horizon 5<\/a> in particularly becoming one of the best-selling PlayStation games<\/a> of the year \u2013 despite being four years old.<\/p>\n

An MP1st<\/a> report also claims that the oft-delayed zombie shooter State of Decay 3<\/a> is coming to Sony\u2019s system as well, although in this case we weren\u2019t able to find the original source. It\u2019d probably make sense, though, wouldn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

Now, what do we need to do to get conversions of Killer Instinct<\/a> and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024<\/a>, eh?<\/p>\n
