JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Can you guess which New Orleans-based chain, known for its alcoholic daiquiris, is returning to Jacksonville soon?<\/p>\n

If you said Fat Tuesday, then you are correct. <\/p>\n

The chain took to its new Instagram account on Thursday to announce its comeback to the River City, years after the venue\u2019s closure.<\/p>\n

\u201cRiver City get ready. Fat Tuesday has entered the chat,\u201d the announcement reel said.<\/p>\n

Fat Tuesdays will take over the former Rain Dogs Five Points<\/a> location at 1045 Park Street. The Jacksonville staple known for its vibrant community and live music closed in December 2024.<\/p>\n

No opening date has been announced, but we reached out to the company to learn more about the new location. We will update this story once we receive a response.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Landing<\/a> was the first home for a Fat Tuesday\u2019s location in Jacksonville back when the riverfront shopping center first opened in 1987. <\/p>\n

According to a 2019 Florida Times-Union report<\/a>, Fat Tuesday left The Landing after the venue\u2019s management chose not to renew the bar\u2019s 10-year lease, saying it wanted to shift from a younger crowd to an older clientele.<\/p>\n

Until the Jacksonville location officially gets the party started, you would have to travel to Gainesville for the nearest location.<\/p>\n
