{"id":955396,"date":"2026-07-24T03:42:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T03:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/955396\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T03:42:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T03:42:19","slug":"man-and-woman-fatally-shot-in-car-on-university-of-chicago-campus-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/955396\/","title":{"rendered":"Man and woman fatally shot in car on University of Chicago campus \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two people died on Thursday after they were found in a vehicle on the University of Chicago campus with gunshot wounds, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Around 5:35 p.m., a 27-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were discovered inside a vehicle on the 5900 block of South Ellis, each with a gunshot wound to the head, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Both the man and woman were transported to a local hospital in critical condition and were later pronounced dead. <\/p>\n<p>The two victims were found near Midway Plaisance Ice Skating Rink and Harper Quad.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>A weapon was recovered from the scene, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Police are continuing to investigate.
