Nearly everyone who watched Darryn Peterson<\/a><\/strong> compete in the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas Summer Leagues thought he looked like a \u201cstar in the making,\u201d according to Sarah Todd of The Deseret News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey should shut him down after this. It\u2019s clear he\u2019s better than this,\u201d one Western Conference scout said during Peterson\u2019s first game in Vegas.<\/p>\n

Peterson, a 6\u20195\u2033 guard whom the Jazz<\/strong> selected No. 2 overall last month, showcased the talent and skills that made him such a highly touted prospect leading up to the draft. Utah is eager to see what Peterson can do in actual NBA games while playing alongside NBA-caliber talent, Todd writes.<\/p>\n
