{"id":955614,"date":"2026-07-24T06:15:21","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T06:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/955614\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T06:15:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T06:15:21","slug":"us-attacks-iran-for-13th-night-as-trump-threatens-bigger-strikes-us-israel-war-on-iran-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/955614\/","title":{"rendered":"US attacks Iran for 13th night as Trump threatens \u2018bigger\u2019 strikes | US-Israel war on Iran News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The United States military has said it bombed Iran for the 13th consecutive night after President Donald Trump threatened more intense attacks on the country amid risk of further escalation.<\/p>\n<p>The Middle East-based Central Command (CENTCOM) of the US military said early on Friday that it targeted \u201cIranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Recommended Stories list of 4 itemsend of list<\/p>\n<p>The attacks \u201caimed to hold Iran accountable and diminish threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping\u201d, the US military said.<\/p>\n<p>It added that Strait of Hormuz remains open for transit despite recent attacks from Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), noting that commercial vessels continue to freely navigate the strait with US military support.<\/p>\n<p>The IRGC, however, has stressed that it has control of the waterway and safe passage is only guaranteed through coordination with Iran.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking from Tehran, Al Jazeera\u2019s Tohid Asadi said there were reports of explosions on Qeshm Island, adding that blasts were also heard Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in Khuzestan, Iran\u2019s Mehr news agency reported US missile strikes in the cities of Andimeshk and Omidiyeh with.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">US attacks on a residential neighbourhood in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas also injured two people, according to Iran\u2019s semi-official Fars news agency reported.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Trump had stepped up his rhetoric against Tehran earlier. He told the US news website Axios that he may launch the largest strikes on Iran yet after Tehran carried out another wave of retaliatory attacks on US allies in the Gulf, including hitting a telecommunications tower in Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said he was \u201cconsidering a massive attack\u201d that would be \u201cbigger than ever before\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am close to making a decision. We are all set for it,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>The threat raises the stakes yet again in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/liveblog\/2026\/7\/23\/iran-war-live-us-launches-new-attacks-houthis-attack-2-saudi-oil-tankers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">weeks-long military confrontation<\/a> in which the US has attacked Iran for 12 straight nights, including hitting bridges and tunnels, according to Iranian media reports.<\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s retaliatory attacks have rippled throughout much of the Gulf, sparking fears of a worsening energy crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The spiralling conflict has all but destroyed an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/7\/22\/us-open-to-negotiations-with-iran-but-tehran-not-serious-rubio-says\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">interim peace deal<\/a> signed by the US and Iran last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Eye for an eye\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi warned on Wednesday that Tehran would retaliate \u201can eye for an eye\u201d against any future attacks, including those on Iran\u2019s infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>After another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/7\/22\/iran-warns-of-regional-turmoil-if-us-threats-and-attacks-do-not\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">night of US attacks on Wednesday<\/a>, Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attacks in Jordan and Kuwait <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/7\/22\/iranian-missiles-show-deadly-precision-amid-us-iran-war-escalation\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">targeted and hit US military assets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The IRGC also acknowledged attacking a telecommunications tower in Kuwait, saying it was in retaliation for US attacks on telecommunications towers in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement addressing the Kuwaiti people directly, the IRGC insisted that the US, not Iran, had breached the Gulf state\u2019s \u201cterritorial integrity and sovereignty\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Later on Thursday, Kuwait said that its Abdali border crossing with Iraq had also come under attack by \u201chostile drones\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe armed forces\u2019 retaliatory attacks will continue as long as the US attacks on the country\u2019s infrastructure and coastal areas continue,\u201d said the Iranian army\u2019s spokesperson, Mohammad Akraminia.<\/p>\n<p>Houthis attack Saudi tankers<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Yemen\u2019s Houthi group further expanded the confrontation on Thursday by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/7\/23\/iran-houthis-strike-tankers-as-us-bombing-continues-whats-the-latest\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">firing at two Saudi tankers<\/a> in the Red Sea, leading to broad international condemnation and a spike in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2026\/7\/23\/oil-surges-past-100-in-a-first-since-may-as-middle-east-conflicts-rage\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">global oil prices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe situation is getting out of control.
