The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/crp\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">NWS Corpus Christi <\/a>office said locally heavy rainfall could cause isolated flooding across parts of South Texas through Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Weather Prediction Center placed Beeville, Corpus Christi and Kingsville under a marginal, level 1 of 4, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWSCorpus\/status\/2080375627404791930?s=20\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">excessive rainfall risk<\/a> through 6 a.m. Friday. Heavy rain could cause localized flooding, while stronger thunderstorms could produce isolated damaging winds as they move west-southwest along the Middle Texas Coast. A marginal risk indicates at least a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/qpf\/excessive_rainfall_outlook_ero.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">5% chance<\/a> that rainfall will exceed flash-flood guidance within 25 miles of a location.<\/p>\n<p>Widespread flooding was not expected, according to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/product.php?site=NWS&amp;issuedby=CRP&amp;product=AFD&amp;format=CI&amp;version=1&amp;glossary=1\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">NWS Corpus Christi office<\/a>, though stronger storms could produce gusts of 40 to 50 mph and isolated damaging winds.<\/p>\n<p>South Central Texas, including San Antonio and Austin, could see showers from Bertha\u2019s moisture or remnants. The NWS says rain chances range <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/ewx\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">from 50% to 80%<\/a>, favoring the Coastal Plains, with gusts up to 30 mph possible along the I-35 corridor and Coastal Plains.<\/p>\n<p>San Antonio could see scattered showers and thunderstorms early Friday, with the highest rain chances east of the city, mainly south of the I-10\/Highway 90 corridor, and across the Coastal Plains, according to the NWS.
