Two adorable dogs who were allegedly dragged by a Queens man as he drove through Long Island City<\/a> earlier this year have made miraculous recoveries and are ready to find their forever homes.<\/p>\n Marzipan and Nougat \u2014 known affectionately as Marley<\/a> and Miss Noogie<\/a> \u2014 are now up for adoption after receiving specialized treatment from the ASPCA following their rescue in January. <\/p>\n Nougat and Marzipan, known as Miss Noogie and Marley, are up for adoption. ASPCA Recovery & Rehabilitation Center<\/p>\n Though the German shepherd cowered in the back of her kennel and avoided interaction, she began opening up with the help of more confident \u201chelper dogs\u201d and touch training.<\/p>\n Marley is still shy, but now loves to show off her goofy personality while learning new tricks, chasing balls, and running outside.<\/p>\n Miss Noogie, a large mixed-breed dog, had abrasions on her paw pads behind her wrists, inflammation of the skin between her toes, and diarrhea when she was rescued. <\/p>\n Miss Noogie is looking for a home where her owner will share her love for snacks and naps. ASPCA Recovery & Rehabilitation Center<\/p>\n The big-hearted, adventurous pup has been thriving in a foster home for the last few months and is looking for a home where her owner will share her love for snacks \u2014 and naps. <\/p>\n Both animals received care at the ASPCA\u2019s Recovery & Rehabilitation Center\u00a0in Pawling, an hour and a half north of the Big Apple. The facility opened in late 2025 to expand the facility\u2019s capacity to treat dogs rescued by the NYPD.<\/p>\n Bujor was hit with\u00a0charges of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, failure to provide sustenance, and driving by an unlicensed operator\u00a0in connection with the disturbing caught-on-camera incident, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz\u00a0said at the time. <\/p>\n He has pleaded not guilty and faces up to one year behind bars if convicted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s their sweet second chance.
