\n\t\tSan Diego Book Festival Returns Aug. 22\n<\/p>\n

The\u00a0San Diego Book Festival<\/a>\u00a0is returning August 22 with more than 145 local and national authors participating as speakers and exhibitors. The annual event will take place on the University of San Diego campus from 10 a.m. to\u00a04 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The KPBS San Diego Book Festival brings locals of all ages together around a shared celebration and love of books, learning, and literacy. This event will feature panel discussions with award-winning authors, activities for the whole family, live entertainment, exhibitors including independent booksellers, local authors, food trucks and more.\u00a0There is also an expanded footprint across the University of San Diego\u2019s campus which includes a large\u00a0space for kids activities.<\/p>\n

The event is\u00a0open to the public<\/a>\u00a0and general admission is free. Some author sessions have a nominal fee to reserve a seat where space is limited.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The featured authors write in a variety of genres including children\u2019s picture books, young adult, fantasy, romance, puzzles, graphic novels, historical, and horror.<\/p>\n

New this year, romantasy, mystery, self-help, and parenting genres have been added to the list of growing books available at the festival.<\/p>\n
