The planned Nordstrom Rack in the ever-growing Town Center at Creekside development has been delayed until next year.

In February, the discount retailer submitted plans for a $2.8 million 25,000-square-foot store at 361 Creekside Way with an intention to wrap up construction in December. Now, according to a July 23 Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, the project won’t break ground until February 2027.

The new state timeline says the build-out will finish the following July, although schedules tend to change. Whenever it officially debuts, it will cost the retail giant a little more money. It’s now ringing in at a cool $3 million.

The off-price division of Nordstrom offers deep discounts on both off-season finds from the upscale department store’s aisles and house labels made specifically for the outlet. While shoppers are unlikely to find a couture steal, they will find premium labels like AllSaints, Rag & Bone, and Vince alongside a few designer shoes from lesser grail brands like Ferragamo, McQueen, and Chloe.

Although fashion takes up the bulk of the floor space, the brand also carries home goods like duvet covers and bath mats, scents, and beauty products, including fragrances from Gucci, Maison Margiela, and Dolce & Gabbana.

The Nordstrom Rack store comes as the once-sleepy Hill Country town experiences an unprecedented growth spurt. Besides Town Center at Creekside, the sprawling Mayfair housing development is currently under construction, and the booming city is attracting a slew of new chains.

But all the development hasn’t come without a few bumps. New Braunfels’ first location of cult-favorite chain Portillo’s — also set for the Creeksider — has also suffered delays. But hot dogs or haute pants, New Braunfels has a lot to look forward to next year.

New Braunfels’ residents who feel the need for retail therapy might want to take a few deep breaths.…

[5133
5229,4178,38883,39257,45732,10084,7202,7203,358,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
post-956773","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-antonio","tag-america","tag-furniture","tag-home-decor","tag-home-goods","tag-la-cantera","tag-openings","tag-san-antonio","tag-sanantonio","tag-texas","tag-tx","tag-united-states","tag-united-states-of-america","tag-unitedstates","tag-unitedstatesofamerica","tag-us","tag-usa
["GET
