The studio\u2019s doors are closed to locals now, though, with \u201cThe Conjuring\u201d (aka \u201cBridgeport\u201d) shooting inside the production space located at 125 Washington Ave.<\/p>\nAccording to a notice posted outside Armory Studios, parking restrictions will be in effect around the studio from 8 p.m. on July 26 through 10 p.m. on July 28, as well as 8 p.m. on July 30 through 8 a.m. on Aug. 1. The streets where parking is restricted are Washington Avenue, Union Street, North Church Street and Front Street, as well as South Church Street between Union Street and State Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Little is known about the plot of \u201cThe Conjuring: First Communion\u201d at this point other than the film\u2019s status as a prequel that explores the early years of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. While Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga played the real-life married couple in all of the films so far in which they appeared, \u201cFirst Communion\u201d will feature Garrett Wareing and Amanda Fix as young versions of Ed and Lorraine, respectively.<\/p>\n
One trailer outside the studio is designated for a character named \u201cFather Everett\u201d\u00a0\u2014 likely a new character introduced in \u201cFirst Communion.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Conjuring: First Communion\u201d is expected to be filming in Schenectady and surrounding regions through early October, according to casting calls posted for the production under the \u201cBridgeport\u201d title.
