Halo Studios has basically confirmed it’s working on a remake of Halo 2<\/a>, likely on the same scale as Halo: Campaign Evolved<\/a>, via a new cutscene. If you beat the Halo 1 remake on Legendary difficulty, you will be treated to an additional cinematic, which I’ve embedded above.<\/p>\n

In the cutscene, Sgt. Johnson is seen relaxing on the same beach you land on in The Silent Cartographer<\/strong><\/a>, with a cigar in hand and a sandwich beside him. An explosion is seen off in the distance at another point on the Halo ring, and then a Pelican picks Johnson up.<\/p>\n

He then says: “Well, that’s my cue. See you in the sequel.”<\/p>\n

A lot like Halo: Combat Evolved<\/a>, if such a project does come to pass, it’ll be the second time Halo 2 has been updated and overhauled. When the Master Chief Collection<\/a> for Xbox One came out, the version of Halo 2 it shipped with was an Anniversary remaster, which is the same treatment Halo 1 received on Xbox 360.<\/p>\n

There had been rumours of Halo 2 and Halo 3<\/strong> remakes floating about<\/a> just after the reveal of Halo: Campaign Evolved, so now it seems like the sequel really will get the full remake treatment.<\/p>\n
