Jon Bon Jovi abruptly ended his concert<\/a> at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday night, but he vowed to do everything he could to make it up to fans in attendance.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBad Medicine\u201d singer was about 90 minutes into the eighth of his nine-show residency at the Garden<\/a> as part of his Forever Tour when he opted to pull the plug, People reported. He finished performing his 1986 hit \u201cLivin\u2019 On a Prayer\u201d alongside Train front man Pat Monahan before revealing to the audience that he\u2019d been struggling throughout the concert and would not be able to continue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, I\u2019m hurt and you\u2019re not getting the best of me,\u201d he said in videos shared online.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t throw away your ticket stubs<\/a> I\u2019m going to figure something out, OK?\u201d Bon Jovi continued, garnering some applause from the crowd. \u201cJust hang onto it, I\u2019m going to figure out how to reschedule.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rocker added: \u201cI\u2019m gonna have to cool it<\/a> for a night,\u201d but \u201cI\u2019ll see you again soon, bye bye!\u201d<\/p>\n

In a subsequent statement, a rep for Bon Jovi said he\u2019d been battling a sinus infection, which simply got the best of him while onstage.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of the Bon Jovi residency at Madison Square Garden, Jon has said numerous times that it has been a joy<\/a> to return to live shows for the band,\u201d the rep said. \u201cUpdated information will be available shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n

His sold-out residency at the Garden marks his first at the storied New York City venue since undergoing major vocal chord surgery back in 2022. After the procedure, he told The Sunday Times in 2024 that he would not perform again if he could not do it to his standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the singing is not great, if I can\u2019t be the guy I once was \u2026 then I\u2019m done<\/a>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
