Making a splash at No. 98 was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cesar.restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">C\u00e9sar<\/a>, the elegant, seafood-focused restaurant from chef C\u00e9sar Ramirez, while midtown fine-dining mainstay <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/le-bernardin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Le Bernardin<\/a> clocked in at\u00a0No. 90. <\/p>\n<p>And though those illustrious local dining rooms were joined on the full list by\u00a0only one NYC restaurant in the top 50, they&#8217;re at least in very good company:\u00a0&#8220;New Korean&#8221; stunner\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/atomix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atomix<\/a>\u00a0was ranked No. 12 in this year&#8217;s culinary pecking order, which were announced during a ceremony in Turin, Italy on June 19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/100-best-new-york-restaurants\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The 50 best restaurants in NYC right now, from dazzling newcomers to familiar favorites<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the first time that the creative Korean spot\u2014the flagship restaurant of husband-and-wife duo, chef\u00a0Junghyun &#8220;JP&#8221; Park and manager\u00a0Ellia Park, who also oversee fellow New York spots including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/atoboy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atoboy<\/a>, Naro and Seoul Salon\u2014has been honored by World&#8217;s 50 Best:\u00a0In 2023,\u00a0Atomic came in at No. 8\u00a0and rose to No. 6 one year later. <\/p>\n<p>Praised as the &#8220;ultimate gastronomic manifestation of the K-wave phenomenon&#8221; and &#8220;Korean dining at its very finest&#8221; with &#8220;dishes grounded in heritage, but distinct and innovative,&#8221; per the World&#8217;s 50 Best organizers, Atomix is the\u00a0sole U.S. restaurant to make the main 50 Best list, and one of only three North American entries this year.\u00a0(It&#8217;s joined by\u00a0Jorge Vallejo\u2019s boundary-pushing Quintonil and Elena Reygadas&#8217;s Mexican-meets-Mediterranean beaut Rosetta, both located in Mexico City.)<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere on the list, Lima had an exceptionally strong showing, with Maido from\u00a0chef Mitsuharu &#8220;Micha&#8221; Tsumura\u2014an upmarket Japanese-Peruvian restaurant serving an innovative take on Nikkei cuisine\u2014finally claiming the top spot after a decade of being featured on the World&#8217;s 50 Best list.
