The mother of the maniac accused of knifing a Jewish and Asian man in separate attacks on Upper West Side<\/a> cried out in court Friday as new details were revealed about her son\u2019s alleged hate-filled rampage.<\/p>\n

Raul Morales, 51, looked back into the courtroom gallery and mouthed \u201cI love you, mom\u201d after a judge held him without bail for Thursday\u2019s bloodshed during which he yelled \u2018\u2018Allahu Akbar\u201d three times, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n

His mom, who said \u201cRaul, I\u2019m here,\u201d then buried her head in her hands and wept as her son was ushered out of the courtroom.<\/p>\n

Morales approached the first victim from behind near Central Park and \u201cshouted Allah Akbar and plunged a knife into his back without any provocation,\u201d Assistant District Attorney Megan Joy told the court.<\/p>\n

The madman then allegedly walked to the nearby synagogue and \u201cshouted justice for Islam and Allahu Akbar\u201d before confronting the second victim four blocks away.<\/p>\n

Morales allegedly \u201cplunged a screwdriver\u201d in the chest of the second victim, a Jewish man wearing a kippah, the ADA said.<\/p>\n

The suspect then fled by foot to his apartment, where he was eventually arrested less than an hour later.<\/p>\n

A knife and screwdriver were recovered following his arrest, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The first victim was rushed to hospital with the knife still hanging from his back and it had to be surgically removed, prosecutors said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both victims remain hospitalized in stable condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Morales was arraigned on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault and one count of attempted assault \u2014 all of which are being tried as hate crimes.<\/p>\n

The judge also ordered Morales to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
