Fort Worth City Council member Mia Hall of District 6 greeted attendees as they arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The planned improvements:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortworthtexas.gov\/departments\/parks\/parks-and-trails\/rosemary-ridge-park\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Rosemary Ridge Park<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Playground for ages 5-12<\/li>\n<li>Shade shelter near the playground<\/li>\n<li>Fitness equipment along the trail<\/li>\n<li>Replaced benches and trash cans<\/li>\n<li>Drinking fountain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortworthtexas.gov\/departments\/parks\/parks-and-trails\/fox-run-park\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Fox Run Park<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New loop trail<\/li>\n<li>Fitness equipment along the trail<\/li>\n<li>Shade shelter for picnic tables near playground<\/li>\n<li>Update benches and trash cans<\/li>\n<li>Drinking fountain and pet waste station<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortworthtexas.gov\/departments\/parks\/parks-and-trails\/cypress-lake-park\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Cypress Lake Park<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New playground for ages 5-12<\/li>\n<li>Drinking fountain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some attendees asked questions about Rosemary Ridge, including about bike trails, lighting, fire ant control and coyotes in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The city staff said they would look into adding bike trails and solar lights. Other residents asked about planting more trees and adding fences. Grants are available for tree planting and parks are generally not fenced because they are public.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One attendee asked if the park could have emergency call buttons, and a city staff member said the parks department is looking into that.<\/p>\n<p>A city official told one resident that Fox Run Park could be used for football practice.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if the parks would be worked on one at a time or simultaneously, the staff said it depends on the bid contract later in the planning process.<\/p>\n<p>Denise Kahn is a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/documenters\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fort Worth Report Documenters<\/a> crew.
