{"id":963003,"date":"2026-07-27T18:57:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T18:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/963003\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T18:57:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T18:57:16","slug":"feds-southwest-philadelphia-mail-handler-beats-coworker-with-steel-pipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/963003\/","title":{"rendered":"Feds: Southwest Philadelphia mail handler beats coworker with steel pipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 A postal worker is facing charges after federal investigators said he beat his co-worker with a 25-pound, nearly 5-foot-long steel pipe.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>It happened at the USPS Processing and Distribution Center in Eastwick on July 21.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, Steven Louis heard his co-worker was talking behind his back.<\/p>\n<p>The feds said Louis grabbed a safety bar from a piece of mail equipment, confronted his coworker, and hit him \u2014 first in the chest, according to a witness, and then in the head, leaving him seriously hurt.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was knocked off his feet, unconscious and bleeding.
