{"id":963110,"date":"2026-07-27T20:06:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T20:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/963110\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T20:06:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T20:06:15","slug":"american-express-to-expand-centurion-lounge-at-dallas-fort-worth-international-airport-grapevine-colleyville-southlake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/963110\/","title":{"rendered":"American Express to expand Centurion Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport | Grapevine &#8211; Colleyville &#8211; Southlake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>American Express will expand its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecenturionlounge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Centurion Lounge<\/a> at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>The $35 million project, according to a state <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026017273\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">filing<\/a>, will expand and renovate the lounge into a neighboring space near Gate D12 at Terminal D at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfwairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DFW Airport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to see American Express\u2019 continued investment in enhancing the lounge experience at DFW,\u201d said Ken Buchanan, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer at DFW Airport. \u201cThis project reflects a shared commitment to providing modern, high-quality amenities that meet the evolving needs of our customers, while continuing to elevate the overall terminal environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The details <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The expansion will make the lounge nearly 50% larger, adding more seating, a new dining area, a walk-up ice cream window and a second full-service bar, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The expected opening will be in 2027, according to a news release. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filings show an estimated completion date for the 18,000-square-foot project of Nov. 19, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican Express has long been at the forefront of the airport lounge experience, and we continue to build on that legacy and raise the bar as we grow our network,\u201d said Audrey Hendley, American Express Travel president. \u201cWe listen closely to our card members and evolve our lounges to meet their needs. We continue to innovate across our lounge network, while staying true to what makes the Centurion Lounge experience special: thoughtful design and great food and drinks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The American Express Centurion Lounge at DFW Airport <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfwairport.com\/dfwnewsroom\/archivednews\/two-new-lounges-mean-more-options-for-dfw-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">opened<\/a> on Sept. 27, 2018, spanning 12,500 square feet, according to an airport news release.<\/p>\n<p>The Centurion Lounge offers high-speed Wi-Fi, semi-private workspaces, televisions and a digital library of magazines and newspapers, according to its website.<\/p>\n<p>AmEx Platinum card members, Delta SkyMiles Reserve card members and Centurion Members have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecenturionlounge.com\/info\/faq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">access<\/a> to the lounge within three hours of departing flights, according to a news release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"American Express will expand its Centurion Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
