The complex in Northlake\u00a0includes\u00a0two NHL regulation ice rinks, eight basketball courts (which can be used as volleyball courts),\u00a0eight pickleball courts and the new Shark Club.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the second Shark Club in the United States, after one in Plano opened near State Highway 121 in 2019. (The Plano sports bar is about 5 miles from Willow Bend, where the Stars plan to move in 2031 after a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/article\/dallas-stars-new-arena-look-22294796.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">$3 billion arena district is built<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Shark Club was founded over 30 years ago in Vancouver by Canadian entrepreneurs John\u00a0Teti and Roger Gibson. A handful of\u00a0Shark Clubs are open in Canada today.<\/p>\n<p>Gaglardi, a Canadian native, is helping grow Shark Club in the U.S. He&#8217;s CEO of Northland Properties, a hospitality and entertainment company based in Vancouver that includes dozens of resorts and more than 200 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland, according to Alan Howie, president and chief operating officer of Northland Restaurant Group.<\/p>\n<p>Gaglardi has linked Vancouver restaurants to Dallas for a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the Dallas restaurants the Stars&#8217; owner is involved in\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Craft Beer Market<\/strong>: The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/article\/craft-2-story-rooftop-restaurant-open-dallas-22183487.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">new two-story bar and restaurant at Preston Center<\/a>, Craft Beer Market, started in Canada. Founder PJ L&#8217;Heureux partnered with Gaglardi, and the two saw opportunities to expand Craft into a Dallas market. &#8220;The synergies between Dallas and Calgary are big,&#8221;\u00a0L&#8217;Heureux said, noting the cities are business-centric with a Western edge. L&#8217;Heureux said he&#8217;s looking for more real estate in Dallas-Fort Worth. The company operates nine Crafts in Canada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moxies<\/strong>: The first Moxies in the U.S., in Uptown Dallas&#8217; Crescent Court, opened in 2016. The bar is situated around large TVs and the dining room serves an upscale lunch or dinner with dishes like sushi, cheeseburgers and steak frites. Moxies has four restaurants in Texas and 50 in Canada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shark Club Bar and Grill<\/strong>: Designed as a modern sports bar, Shark Club in\u00a0Northlake has 37 TVs in a &#8220;stadium-like atmosphere,&#8221; according to a news release. Shark Club has five restaurants in Canada, two in England and two in Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p>Shark Club Bar and Grill is at 13850 Chadwick Parkway, Northlake.
