The Carson City area had the lowest June unemployment rate, 3.9 percent, among the state\u2019s three metropolitan areas, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation economic report for the month.<\/p>\n
Statewide, Nevada\u2019s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.1 percent in June, a slight decrease of 0.1 percent from May. Seasonally adjusted estimates account for regularly seen economic patterns, with the following estimates not seasonally adjusted, according to the report.<\/p>\n
In the three Metropolitan Statistical Areas, the unemployment rates were 3.9 percent in the Carson City area, 4.1 percent in Reno and 5.2 percent in Las Vegas. In Nevada\u2019s counties, the lowest unemployment rate was in Elko County at 3.5 percent, while Mineral County had the highest rate at 8.7 percent.<\/p>\n
