No one was killed in the crash, but several people were taken to hospitals with injuries.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Witness video showed the first responders jumping into action. They rescued at least one person who was trapped inside a vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>  Returning from SWAT training <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">What they&#8217;re saying:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The first responders who stopped to help were members of Wise County EMS, the Wise County Sheriff&#8217;s Office and the Wise County Fire Marshal&#8217;s Office. Wise County EMS Captain Danny Byler said the group had been attending SWAT training before encountering the crash.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/072826-aj-fw-hwy-287-crash-pkg-jb_kdfw0ed4_186_mp4_00.00.34.10.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">&#8220;We&#8217;re never really off-duty, and those guys are trained to respond at a moment&#8217;s notice, and that&#8217;s what they did,&#8221; said Byler.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The crews were not traveling in traditional emergency vehicles and had limited equipment available.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">&#8220;So their tools were very limited. They weren&#8217;t in a rescue truck or anything like that with extraction tools,&#8221; Byler said.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/072826-aj-fw-hwy-287-crash-pkg-jb_kdfw0ed4_186_mp4_00.00.54.12.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  Limited tools, quick action <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">Dig deeper:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">Instead, the responders used the tools they had on hand.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">&#8220;I was told they had a door-breaching tool, a kind of halogen of shots, and then a saw that they used to cut a pin on the door,&#8221; Byler said.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/072826-aj-fw-hwy-287-crash-pkg-jb_kdfw0ed4_186_mp4_00.00.45.06.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">In a statement to FOX 4, the Fort Worth Police Department said it was grateful for everyone&#8217;s assistance with one goal in mind: keeping the public safe.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">&#8220;They love their jobs, and they&#8217;re always happy to help,&#8221; Byler said. &#8220;I can&#8217;t say enough about how ready to respond they are.
