{"id":966537,"date":"2026-07-29T10:09:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/966537\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T10:09:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:09:19","slug":"dallas-clears-271-truckloads-of-illegal-dumping-along-trinity-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/966537\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas Clears 271 Truckloads Of Illegal Dumping Along Trinity River"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                                    Illegal dump site along Trinity river near McCommas Bluffs area | Image by Kayak Trippin&#8217; Texas\/Facebook                                <\/p>\n<p>The City of Dallas has completed a nearly monthlong cleanup at an illegal dump site along the Trinity River, hauling away <strong>271 truckloads of construction debris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As previously <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasexpress.com\/city\/forged-deed-illegal-dump-exposed-dallas-crews-move-in-to-clear-trinity-river-mess\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> by The Dallas Express, crews began the project in late June on 11 acres of private property along the river southeast of downtown.<\/p>\n<p>Forged deed preceded dumping allegations<\/p>\n<p>Shannon Bleau inherited the property from her grandfather. Weeks before his death in 2023, Kyle Boyd, 59, allegedly obtained the property by forging her grandfather\u2019s signature on a deed, FOX 4 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4news.com\/news\/dallas-finishes-cleanup-trinity-river-illegal-dumping-site\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A judge voided the deed on April 9 and restored the property to Bleau. Dallas police <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4news.com\/news\/trinity-river-illegal-dumping-suspect-obtained-site-through-forged-signature-property-deed\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">arrested<\/a> Boyd on April 21 and charged him with three counts of felony dumping.<\/p>\n<p>According to an arrest affidavit cited by FOX 4, Boyd allegedly continued collecting money from truckers who unloaded construction waste at the site.<\/p>\n<p>FOX 4 reported that Dallas officials knew about the dump site for years before the arrests. The City Marshal\u2019s Office installed cameras there in December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Owners praise city cleanup<\/p>\n<p>Gerald Bleau, Shannon Bleau\u2019s husband, praised the city\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe city did an absolutely amazing job,\u201d Bleau said. \u201cIt was pretty shocking to see what we saw. It was just overflowing into the river.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bleau said the property still shows damage from the alleged scheme, including the loss of dozens of trees. Even so, he and his wife are relieved to have the land cleared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re left with a pretty good amount of property, and it\u2019s still gorgeous, still beautiful,\u201d Bleau said. \u201cIt\u2019s so quiet out here.
