\u201cLove is Blind\u201d<\/a> is finally casting in New York City, allowing Tri-state area singles to try their hand at happily ever after\u2026 sight unseen.<\/p>\n

Kinetic Content announced on Instagram this week that it\u2019s casting for six cities, Gotham among them, for the Netflix hit, which debuted in 2020 and has captivated social media\u2019s attention with every season since.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking for love? Great! Willing to propose to a wall before seeing their face? Even better!\u201d reads the caption, in part. \u201cIf you\u2019re single, tired of dating apps, and ready to prove that love is actually blind, your pod is waiting!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The show, which now boasts many an international spinoff, features romantic prospects getting to know each other in \u201cpods\u201d separated by a wall. Only should they fall in love and get engaged through the wall \u2014 usually while remaining vague about their looks \u2014 can they meet face to face. They then have a matter of weeks to cohabitate before their televised wedding.<\/p>\n

In the interim, there\u2019s a vacation with the other engaged couples, which often serves as the first time they\u2019re meeting other people they\u2019d fallen for in the pods. Tensions reliably ensue.<\/p>\n

The application, linked in the bio on Kinetic\u2019s Instagram, spans roughly 70 questions, including the basics to determine whether the hopeful is single, ready for a long-term relationship, willing to date someone divorced, and which dating apps are they currently using (and being disappointed by).<\/p>\n

There are also more introspective queries, like \u201cWhy do you think you are single?\u201d and \u201cWhat is something you wish your past romantic partners appreciated about you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLove is Blind\u201d is also known for its many controversies<\/a> and lawsuits<\/a>, including claims of \u201cinhumane working conditions,\u201d \u201ctraumatic\u201d experiences<\/a> on the series and a lack of proper mental health support on set.<\/p>\n
