Air raid sirens sounded in Lublin, eastern Poland, amid reports that one or two missiles may have entered Polish airspace during a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The reports indicated that the missile or missiles may have crossed into Poland, but officials did not confirm that an incursion had taken place. Footage posted by several people captured air raid sirens sounding across the region.<\/p>\n

The sirens later stopped, and no further alerts were reported.<\/p>\n

Marcin Bubicz, a spokesman for the governor of Lublin province, told WP Wiadomo\u015bci<\/a> that authorities had received \u201ccredible and confirmed\u201d information directly from Poland\u2019s Government Security Center about a threat of airstrikes.<\/p>\n

Before the sirens began sounding, Poland\u2019s military said<\/a> that fighter jets and an early-warning aircraft are operating in Polish airspace because Russian long-range aircraft are carrying out strikes against Ukraine.<\/p>\n
