Kahan failed to gain traction with his first two albums, but Stick Season in 2022 gave him the breakthrough he was looking for, featuring hits like the title song, &#8220;Northern Attitude&#8221; (with Hozier), and &#8220;Dial Drunk&#8221; (with Post Malone). His new album, The Great Divide, is even bigger, going to No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He&#8217;ll play at Globe Life Field in Arlington.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/casa-manana-presents-rent-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Casa Ma\u00f1ana presents Rent<\/a><\/strong><br \/>Set in New York City\u2019s East Village, Rent follows a year in the lives of struggling artists as they navigate love, loss, and the search for identity. Battling hardship and uncertainty, they find strength in their art and each other. With its groundbreaking rock score, Rent is a raw and powerful tribute to community, resilience, and the urgency of living for today. The production, performed by Casa Ma\u00f1ana&#8217;s Apprentice Program, will have five performances through Sunday at Casa Ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/improv-arlington-presents-tony-roberts\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/improv-arlington-presents-tony-roberts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Improv Arlington presents Tony Roberts<\/a><\/strong><br \/>Comedian, actor, writer, and (sometimes) director Tony Roberts has been blessed with the coveted honor of being the \u201ccomedian&#8217;s comedian,\u201d the guy other performers love to watch work. His hilarious and refreshingly energetic comedy style has granted him respect and created a huge demand on the comedy circuit. He&#8217;ll perform five times through Saturday at Improv Arlington.<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong><\/strong><\/strong><strong>Friday, July 31<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/magnolia-at-the-modern-reading-lolita-in-tehran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Magnolia at the Modern: Reading Lolita in Tehran<\/a><\/strong><br \/>In revolutionary Iran, as fundamentalists tighten their grip on society, a young professor (Golshifteh Farahani) secretly gathers seven of her most dedicated female students to read and discuss forbidden classics of Western literature, including Lolita and Pride and Prejudice. Based on the bestselling memoir by Azar Nafisi, the film depicts the group\u2019s literary explorations alongside the harrowing realities of their lives under an increasingly oppressive regime. The film will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/jubilee-theatre-presents-klook-vinette\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/jubilee-theatre-presents-klook-vinette\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jubilee Theatre presents Klook &amp; Vinette<\/a><\/strong><br \/>Klook is a drifter who\u2019s gotten too old to drift. Vinette is on the run, but she doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s chasing her. Together, they make a tentative stab at happiness before the past they are evading begins to catch up with them. Tough, tender, funny, and poignant, Klook and Vinette features soulful music and lyrical text. The production runs through August 30 at Jubilee Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/fuerza-regida-in-concert-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fuerza Regida in concert<\/a><\/strong><br \/>The regional Mexican band Fuerza Regida started out as a cover band just over a decade ago, but they soon began to put out their own music. They have been a force in the genre since the release of their debut album in 2019, scoring six No. 1 albums on Billboard&#8217;s Regional Mexican Albums chart, including their 2025 album, 111xpantia, which also went to No. 2 on the overall Billboard 200. That popularity has earned them a large venue: Globe Life Field in Arlington.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/tyler-halverson-in-concert\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tyler Halverson in concert<br \/><\/a><\/strong>Country singer Tyler Halverson plays self-described \u201cAmerijuana Music,\u201d with inspirations ranging from Garth Brooks to Boyz II Men. After signing with Atlantic Records in 2023, he released two EPs in 2024, Western Amerijuana Pt. 1 and Western Amerijuana Pt. 2. He&#8217;ll play at Billy Bob&#8217;s Texas in support of his debut album, In Defense of Drinking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, August 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/eventdetail\/national-theatre-live-presents-les-liaisons-dangereuses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">National Theatre Live presents Les Liaisons Dangereuses<\/a><\/strong><br \/>In this production that was filmed live on stage at the National Theatre in London, BAFTA Award-winner Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread) joins Aidan Turner (Rivals) in a new staging of Christopher Hampton\u2019s celebrated adaptation of the classic novel. Marquise de Merteuil is a master in the art of survival. Alongside the magnetic Vicomte de Valmont, they turn seduction into strategy and weaponize desire. But when their alliance collapses into rivalry, the battle between them threatens to destroy everyone in their path.
