With her impossibly blonde hair, icy blue eyes and chunky jewelry, Schroeder lorded over Lisa Vanderpump\u2019s WeHo restaurant like a combustible sorority president, even warning her sleazebag boyfriend at the time, Jax, \u201cI am the devil and don\u2019t you forget it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBy Season 6, however, Schroeder had evolved into the most sensible person on the Bravo hit, and her love affair with Beau Clark won over the audience\u2019s hearts. She began hosting the podcast \u201cStraight Up with Stassi,\u201d penned a New York Times bestseller, exposed <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/tom-sandoval\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tom-sandoval\" data-tag=\"tom-sandoval\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Sandoval<\/a> at the party for that New York Times bestseller and was on top of the world. Then, in June 2020, Schroeder and co-star Kristen Doute were <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2020\/tv\/news\/stassi-schroeder-kristen-doute-fired-vanderpump-rules-1234629172\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fired from \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d<\/a> for reporting recurring cast member Faith Stowers, who is Black, to the police for a crime she didn\u2019t commit. Schroeder, who was several months pregnant at the time, found herself \u201ccanceled\u201d and had to rebuild from scratch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tShe hired a diversity coach, had difficult conversations and worked on herself. She also expanded her podcast into a sold-out live tour, and kept her distance from the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/vanderpump-rules\/\" id=\"auto-tag_vanderpump-rules\" data-tag=\"vanderpump-rules\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vanderpump Rules<\/a>\u201d universe \u2014 including spinoff <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/tv\/news\/jax-taylor-exits-the-valley-season-3-recovery-1236449740\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cThe Valley\u201d<\/a> \u2014 while waiting for the right opportunity to reintroduce herself to reality TV. She finally did in <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/tv\/news\/vanderpump-villa-trailer-hulu-vanderpump-rules-1235859110\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cVanderpump Villa,\u201d<\/a> joining the Hulu series in its second season. But that only served as the amuse-bouche to her grand reentry with the new show \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/house-of-stassi\/\" id=\"auto-tag_house-of-stassi\" data-tag=\"house-of-stassi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">House of Stassi<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDebuting July 29 on Freeform (and streaming the following day on Hulu and Disney+), \u00a0\u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d follows Schroeder, Clark and her inner circle as she balances her career, mothering two young children and keeping her stay-at-home husband happy. She\u2019s joined by \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d cast members Katie Maloney and Kristina Kelly, her two former ride-or-dies, as well as her younger sister Georgi, her longtime assistant Taylor Strecker (and her pregnant wife Taylor Donohue), Beau\u2019s Italian half-sister Georgia and his womanizing pal Rob. And yes, there are plenty of fireworks (and breaking of the fourth wall) as Schroeder tries to hold it all together while keeping the \u201cDark Passenger\u201d \u2014 her name for her explosive alter ego \u2014 at bay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSchroeder was only 24 when \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d debuted in 2013 but is now 38, a brunette and coming into her power. She spoke with Variety about her \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d past, \u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d and everything in between. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Can we talk about the genesis of \u201cHouse of Stassi?\u201d You make multiple references to wanting to be Kris Jenner throughout the show, so was it modeled on \u201cKeeping Up with the Kardashians?\u201d<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYeah \u2026 Does it get annoying? I can\u2019t help it just because I used to look up to Kim, Kourtney and Khlo\u00e9 and all of them, but when I had kids, I became weirdly obsessed with Kris Jenner. When I would watch her on TV, I\u2019m like, this woman is so present with her family members and it seems like she really enjoys life. You see her with her dirty martini and her friends, and she\u2019s not just all-work or all-mom; she\u2019s a whole woman who\u2019s fulfilled everywhere. I wouldn\u2019t say \u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d was modeled after it because we are nothing like the Kardashians. I\u2019m inspired by them, but even the way I pitched it, I said, \u201cThis is not \u2018Vanderpump Rules\u2019 and this is not \u2018The Kardashians,\u2019\u201d this is somewhere in the middle.\u201d You\u2019ve seen us on TV, but we\u2019re at this new iteration of our lives that isn\u2019t totally represented yet. Yes, they have \u201cThe Valley,\u201d but it feels like it\u2019s the same format as \u201cVanderpump Rules.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-variety-2020\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/182546_102_0005.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"768\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tStassi Schroeder in \u201cHouse of Stassi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDisney<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Did you learn what not to do by watching \u201cThe Valley?\u201d That show is dark. Jax was at the worst we\u2019ve ever seen him from the jump.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt\u2019s insane. And it\u2019s freaking me out that I\u2019m seeing the comment section sway to, \u201cWe need Jax back,\u201d and I\u2019m like, \u201cDid you not forget the whole reason he\u2019s off?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>He threw a table at Brittany.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYes. The audience can be really fickle. That freaks me out.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>You say early on in \u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d that \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d essentially \u201cmade the girls look psychotic\u201d and \u201ccovered for the boys,\u201d and that mentality can bleed into the fandom as well when it comes to the men behaving badly.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tKatie and I will be the first to say that we played a part in that. We made active decisions to not speak up about things because we wanted to keep the show alive, and if we spoke up then, where would that leave everyone? It\u2019s really complicated. To have producers and what they cover for, to have that bleed into the fandom, that\u2019s just the world we\u2019re living in right now. You see influencer men versus women and men get away with so much. It\u2019s a really fucking crazy world.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>How did you convince Katie Maloney to come back to reality TV and why was that so important to you?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt was really last-minute. When we did the sizzle reel, I was pregnant at the time with my second baby, and Kristina and Katie weren\u2019t an option because they were busy filming \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d and under contract. Even though Katie and I were in a rocky situation, I still wanted to include her because we\u2019ve been friends for so long. And then, once we got closer to filming, she was not on the show anymore so I sent her a voice note and said, \u201cYou can tell me to fuck off and I know you\u2019re so happy with your relationship being off TV, but I\u2019m going to start filming this and I think it would be really amazing if you wanted to do it too and we can explore what\u2019s happened in our friendship.\u201d She was really into it, and it honestly felt like destiny. Ninety-eight % of our friendship has been on \u201cVanderpump Rules,\u201d from makeups to breakups, so it felt full circle for us to start this new era of our friendship on TV again.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>So, you\u2019re a voice note sender? You\u2019re one of those people?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYes, I am. I don\u2019t like texts, it stresses me out. I don\u2019t like cold calls. I don\u2019t like FaceTime. But I will voice note all day, every day.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>How did you get Ariana Madix to appear on the show?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tShe\u2019s Katie\u2019s business partner and they\u2019re good friends and she wanted to film at the sandwich shop [Something About Her].<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>That\u2019s quite the coup. I\u2019m curious how you feel about Ariana becoming a breakout star of \u201cVanderpump Rules?\u201d There\u2019s a contingent of the fan base that feels she mainly just carried water for Tom Sandoval until Scandoval happened.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBut she earned that. She might have had that spark from Scandoval, but everything she\u2019s done since then she\u2019s nailed and excelled at. I actually don\u2019t like when people go, \u201cShe didn\u2019t contribute to \u2018Vanderpump Rules\u2019 and then Scandoval happened and she got all this success.\u201d She really earned that success if you pay attention to what she\u2019s done. Even Season 10 of \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d was enough to cover all the previous seasons.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>\u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d presents Beau as a stay-at-home dad and you bringing home the bacon, which is a unique dynamic to present on a show.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHe is, and when I pitched the show that was a huge part of it. I would say to people, \u201cI don\u2019t see this dynamic presented anywhere on reality TV and I\u2019m proud of our lives and what we\u2019ve built.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>And that\u2019s the main tension this season, as Beau is feeling emasculated by the dynamic. How did you guys manage that throughout the season?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBefore filming, I said to him, \u201cIf we\u2019re going to do this, we have to be honest. If you\u2019re feeling something or thinking something, then say it to me. We have to discuss these things.\u201d And filming started and he took that very seriously, and I was like, \u201cWhoa! OK \u2026 I didn\u2019t know this stuff.\u201d But I had to tell myself, \u201cThis is what I told him to do.\u201d And the thing I love most about reality TV is that I\u2019ve always looked at it like therapy. I don\u2019t like therapy, and maybe it\u2019s because I haven\u2019t found the right person but unpacking trauma on a Tuesday morning just hasn\u2019t been my favorite thing in the world. When you film a reality show, you are forced to think about your feelings, address everything you\u2019re feeling and unpack everything, whereas on a normal day with me and Beau, the day would get ahead of us between the kids and work, and at the end of the day I\u2019d be too tired to talk about an issue I have with him. But on reality TV, you have to talk about your issues over and over until it is solved.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>How do you feel about the way you treated Beau this season? There\u2019s a moment where Beau is talking about wanting to return to work and you offer him money not to work. That was pretty tough to watch.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThat was awful. Even comments that I made on the staycation, I thought, \u201cGod, you were hard on him.\u201d He knows that I\u2019m sorry for that and we\u2019ve talked about these things. I mean, we\u2019re doing really well! He\u2019s just a really wonderful person and everything he does is coming from a place of wanting to make the right decision and being morally sound.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>You have a line about Scheana in \u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d where you say, \u201cScheana will 100% show up at my funeral \u2014 and make it about her.\u201d<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI wanted to get that taken out. She keeps catching strays from me, so I feel badly about that. She got one from me on \u201cVanderpump Villa,\u201d too. I wasn\u2019t aware of that.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNor was I, OK! But it\u2019s funny and I hope that she laughs at it.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Where do you stand with Kristen Doute?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhen I see her we are polite and OK, but we don\u2019t \u2014<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>\u2014 Go to Solvang together?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDefinitely not! But I wish her the best. With most of my ex-cast members, that was something I had to step away from. You never really grow if you\u2019re just surrounded by the same people, the same places, the same situations. I recognize that and it\u2019s not like they\u2019re bad people or anything, but I needed to grow and I needed to step away from everyone to do that. I like what I\u2019ve grown into and like where I\u2019m at and I\u2019m always scared of everyone rocking the boat on that.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>I have to give you credit for reading Tom Sandoval for filth at your book event at TomTom on \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d because looking back, you were way ahead of the curve.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tGod, but I\u2019ve been feeling that way since Season 1! I\u2019ve always felt that way. Season after season I\u2019d ask the producers, \u201cHow is he getting such a good edit? I don\u2019t understand this!\u201d And I never really got an answer. That moment at TomTom I was given a gift: him and his stupid fucking spider bite and the texts that he sent me, because I finally had a reason to say how I felt. I\u2019m proud of that moment.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>There\u2019s a sweet moment on \u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d where you and Beau reminisce about a time at Coachella about eight months into dating where you were both on molly and missed an Eminem set to confess your love for one another and discuss your future. Is the solution to just do more molly together?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLOL. Oh my god, is it? Molly brings people closer together. Maybe we should give it a shot again! We haven\u2019t thought about that, but good times! We\u2019d talked about everything before then, but it was such a crazy moment where we were so incredibly connected and saying all the things that you\u2019re too scared to say out loud normally. <\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>This is like the complete inverse of Tom Sandoval and Raquel hooking up at Coachella.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOh my god! Coachella and \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d people \u2026 We\u2019re so embarrassing! I haven\u2019t been since. I don\u2019t have the energy at this point.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>I don\u2019t blame you. I have to ask about \u201cSummer House.\u201d The first episode of that show was a crossover episode with \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d where you and the gals are celebrating your birthday in the Hamptons, and as far as being ahead of the curve goes, you immediately clocked Kyle Cooke in the hot tub.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWell, the thing is I\u2019m friendly with Kyle and he\u2019s a nice guy. I don\u2019t watch \u201cSummer House\u201d but I pay attention to every single Reel, and I do know that he\u2019s been a horrible husband.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>You could\u2019ve changed the course of history because he started hooking up with Amanda right after that.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOh my gosh! The butterfly effect. I remember that producers wanted us to make out so badly, too. We were alone in the hot tub with cameras all around us and it felt very much like, OK, is this what it feels like on \u201cThe Bachelor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Were there other big moments on \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d where producers pushed you to do things that you didn\u2019t want to do?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYeah, so \u2026 This feels like a therapy session now. Producers are fascinating people because they know how to become your best friend and nudge you along to a certain path or story to help move story further. There\u2019s a fine line between making you do something that you wouldn\u2019t do or nudging you into something, and it\u2019s not black-and-white but very gray. I don\u2019t look back and think negatively about \u201cVanderpump Rules,\u201d but when I came back for Season 3 there were a lot of reasons that I didn\u2019t want to film with Jax that producers knew about. I explained it to them and the network knew, and that just wasn\u2019t really [an option]. So, then you gotta leave or deal with it, and when I left for a little while I thought, \u201cOh, I\u2019ve just let this man win. He now gets to be the star of the show and gets to be friends with all my friends.\u201d So I did come crawling back for Season 4 because I was like, \u201cI am not going to let this fucking person win. I will befriend him again and I\u2019m going to win.\u201d That\u2019s what I had to do because producers didn\u2019t respect \u2026 but it\u2019s fine.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Where do you and Jax stand today? And he\u2019s apparently dating \u2026 his publicist?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThat\u2019s fully insane! She\u2019s always been shady and everyone\u2019s always felt weird about her. We haven\u2019t spoken to Jax in four years, so he hasn\u2019t been a part of our lives but I\u2019m paying attention to everything and it\u2019s wild. I really feel for Brittany.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>What are your thoughts on the \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d reboot?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI haven\u2019t seen it \u2026<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>There are two cousins who make OnlyFans content together.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI have heard there are things like that! I have met some of them and they all seem very lovely. I wish them all the best, but it seems like an entirely different show.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Because it isn\u2019t a real friend group. They were just sort of thrown together for the show.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOh! Nobody\u2019s ever going to recreate the original \u201cVanderpump Rules.\u201d Even though I don\u2019t really talk to the cast members anymore, I think they would all agree with me that throughout the entire series, we didn\u2019t even know that the show was successful. We never felt like the show was big or people watched it or \u201cwe\u2019ve made it.\u201d We always felt like Bravo\u2019s ugly stepchild.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>And now it\u2019s one of the most celebrated shows in Bravo history and a new clip goes viral every week.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI get tagged in TikToks and Reels, so I\u2019ve noticed that. It\u2019s only now that I think, \u201cOh, we really did something there.\u201d In the moment, we didn\u2019t feel that way, and maybe that is the magic of the show. We were best friends, dating each other, had nothing to lose, didn\u2019t know what the fuck we were doing and kept it going and they never let us know how successful it was.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Can we talk about how much you were paid on \u201cVanderpump Rules?\u201d I imagine it wasn\u2019t as much as you should have been paid given the success of the show.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt was, like, nothing. I think the first season was $3,500 and then you got half that because of taxes, so I think I got around $1,000 and that was it. And the second season was just a little jump from that. The third season was the first time I got a check that I was proud of and I think it was $23,000 or something like that. It made me feel something. And then it jumped up eventually, but that\u2019s every reality show.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Your \u201ccancelation\u201d looms over \u201cHouse of Stassi\u201d in an interesting way.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI know. I can\u2019t stop bringing it up. When I was watching scenes back, I was like, \u201cYou keep bringing this up.\u201d But it was such a big part of my story and such a big part of who I am right now. There\u2019s not a day that goes by that I don\u2019t think about it.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>What steps did you take in the wake of that to become more aware?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt was a lot of shutting up and listening and really just being fucking awake to things. When I felt on top of the world in \u201cVanderpump Rules,\u201d I was so used to being in the same environment, the same situations, not thinking differently and being narrow-minded in everything, whether I\u2019m in a fight with a friend or whatever. I was never expanding my brain or myself, and after I was canceled, there was a lot of trying to do that.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Do you think you deserved to get fired from \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d or do you believe it was too harsh a punishment?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI don\u2019t think it\u2019s up to me to decide what I deserved or not. I don\u2019t have that right. But as hard as that was, I\u2019m so thankful that it happened the way that it did because I wouldn\u2019t be here with you right now and I\u2019m better for all of it. Being pregnant helped me through everything. If I wasn\u2019t pregnant, I\u2019d have gotten wasted and taken Xanax. There was something about being pregnant with my daughter where it was, like, \u201cThis is your moment to be whatever you want to be because right now, you\u2019re nothing.\u201d I took that all very seriously, I learned from it in the places I needed to learn, I made peace with the things that I thought were unfair and I moved forward for the sake of my daughter.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-variety-2020\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/182546_103_0005.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"768\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tStassi clashes with her sister Georgi in \u201cHouse of Stassi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDisney<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>To go back to \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d and its blind spot regarding bad male behavior, do you feel that is in large part because Lisa Vanderpump has a blind spot regarding bad male behavior? I think of the amount of chances she gave DJ James Kennedy or Jax compared to, say, Kristen.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tI think that every person has a blind spot for things and people like who they like and don\u2019t like who they don\u2019t like, and that\u2019s her. It\u2019s just like everybody else.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Because James and Jax were given so many chances until they literally assaulted a woman.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWell, I assaulted Kristen and I got a lot of chances!<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>That scene is \u2026 pretty iconic.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWas it? People say that but that\u2019s a scene that I hope my children won\u2019t see \u2014 although I know they will. That\u2019s an embarrassing \u2026 That\u2019s not ideal.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Violence is not the answer.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYes.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>So, I\u2019ve dined at Sexy Unique Restaurant, aka SUR, and I need to know your honest opinion of the food there.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOh, it\u2019s different now. They\u2019ve changed the menu.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>I dined at it back in the day, and all I\u2019ll say is the goat cheese balls were solid.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThey\u2019re not anymore. They\u2019ve changed them! It\u2019s wild. I\u2019ve only been once since they changed everything and since my time on \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d ended, and \u2026 I was shocked. That\u2019s it. I don\u2019t want to shit on a restaurant, but it is what it is.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>There\u2019s a line you say to Kristen on \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d that goes viral every so often: \u201cThe only thing that I have holding me back right now is that I have self-respect and dignity. Thank God for Kristen, who is unburdened by those anchors.\u201d<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWe were going to Katie and Tom\u2019s engagement party at Lisa\u2019s house and Kristen wasn\u2019t invited! I get tagged in so many things and I think, \u201cGod, I was so much more ruthless back then! Kristen was not doing that.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>But Jax has admitted that he was on a ton of coke.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYes, but he also didn\u2019t do that in front of us. I\u2019ve caught it when I watched things back on camera or see a TikTok.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Interesting. So, how many times did they try to get you on \u201cThe Valley?\u201d<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNot since it aired. There was a giant push and everyone thought I was crazy for saying no to that. They were like, \u201cYou\u2019re fired! Why aren\u2019t you saying yes to this?\u201d And I said, \u201cBecause I believe in something greater.\u201d At first, before COVID, it was supposed to be a natural spinoff of \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d with the OG cast, and that I was really into because we didn\u2019t have to focus on SUR. But once everything happened in 2020, and they started picking up the idea of \u201cThe Valley\u201d again and talking about new people, I felt that I had the opportunity to really change myself. I wouldn\u2019t grow if I had stayed doing things like that.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>How are you and Beau doing now? Is he back to work and have you become more accepting of that?<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSo, we\u2019ve pivoted a little bit. He\u2019s been auditioning more and he also started golfing, working on his art and doing things that matter to him because the show also became a job. We\u2019ve been really open with each other about what makes us happy, and it feels like we\u2019re in a really good place right now.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>How do you keep the \u201cDark Passenger\u201d at bay? It seems to come out when you feel like you\u2019re being abandoned or think there\u2019s a possibility that Beau might leave \u2014 when it feels like the walls are caving in, and it\u2019s not really Beau, necessarily, but the ghosts of past relationships.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt\u2019s like you see into my soul. You really do sound like the therapist I have seen, and these are the conversations I\u2019ve had with Beau. You might not believe it because you\u2019ve just watched \u201cHouse of Stassi,\u201d but I\u2019ve gotten so great at containing the \u201cDark Passenger\u201d and recognizing when I start feeling those feelings. It is, like you said, an abandonment thing. Beau and I figured it out relatively early on after \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d that all of these relationships that I\u2019d been through, the second I feel like someone\u2019s leaving or not present, I don\u2019t know how to handle that. I\u2019ve dated a lot of horrible people, and I don\u2019t know what that says about me to go from Jax to Frank to Patrick, and I don\u2019t feel like unpacking that with a therapist. I survived that, I\u2019m fine, and I feel like I\u2019m a happy, normal person, but that is always where the \u201cDark Passenger\u201d spiraled from. It would spiral when it was late night and Beau didn\u2019t want to go to bed at the same time as me and I was irrationally angry because I associated that with only betrayal and lies happening late night when you don\u2019t want to come home with your person.
