Equally, I believe it is my responsibility to make decisions that are in the best interests of my artist while also showing respect to others. In this instance, I felt it was right to step aside, allowing the production to remain the focus, while ensuring everyone involved can move forward with mutual respect and goodwill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tGeorge was scheduled to join the cast of \u201cJesus Chris Superstar\u201d as King Herod from August 3-15. He was set to star alongside Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Richard Armitage, Simon Russell Beale, Layton Williams and Julian Clary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEarlier this week, George drew ire after posting a pro-Israel song on social media with the Hebrew title \u201c\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3 \u05e0\u05e8\u05e7\u05d5\u05d3,\u201d which translates to \u201cWe Will Dance Again.\u201d On the song, the 65-year-old sings, \u201cYou say genocide, I say war \/ When you\u2019re attacked, what\u2019s what the army\u2019s for \/ Does it get ugly? \/ You bet it does \/ When I know you wanna kill every last one of us.\u201d He later explained that he made the track using AI.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThough George is yet to reference his exit from the musical, he did acknowledge the backlash to \u201cWe Will Dance Again\u201d on Thursday afternoon. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter what I think or you think,\u201d he wrote on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BoyGeorge\/status\/2082900844744216729\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a>. \u201cWhen will you realise you\u2019re doing NOTHING! It\u2019s a fucking joke. I am even falling out with Jewish friends.
