\n\tAs Madonna<\/a> prepares to resurrect her doomed biopic for Season 2 of The Studio<\/a>, Chase Sui Wonders<\/a> is praising the Queen of Pop\u2019s onscreen performance. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe actress recently teased that the 7x Grammy winner is \u201cfunny as hell\u201d in her appearance alongside Julia Garner in the sophomore season of the Apple TV<\/a> series, which they filmed in March in Venice, Italy, winking at the 2023 Universal biopic<\/a> that never came to fruition.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was better than you ever could have possibly imagined,\u201d Wonders told Entertainment Tonight<\/a>. \u201cMadonna is the coolest\u2014everyone knows this, but she\u2019s also funny as hell and such a hard worker, and really was excited to show up for our show, which felt very surreal. And Julia is a star, an absolute star.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing a location scouting trip<\/a> at last year\u2019s Venice International Film Festival, Seth Rogen was photographed filming the second season<\/a> of his Hollywood satire in March with Madonna and Garner in the Floating City. Michael Keaton and Donald Glover were also present, as were returning stars Bryan Cranston, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Wonders.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the time, Madonna and Garner made a video<\/a> riding in the canals of Venice, lip-syncing to her 1984 single \u201cLike a Virgin\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe duo\u2019s meta onscreen performance comes after Universal Pictures pulled the plug<\/a> in 2023 on the Madonna-directed biopic about her own life and career, with drafts penned by Diablo Cody and Erin Cressida Wilson. Garner won the part of the pop icon after proving her talents in a Madonna bootcamp that tested her singing and dancing abilities.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Confessions II artist recently detailed that the \u201cfalling out<\/a>\u201d she had with Universal that led to the movie\u2019s demise was over budget. \u201cI\u2019ve had an extraordinary life. I\u2019ve had a huge life, so I needed a big budget. You know what I mean?\u201d Madonna told Interview.<\/p>\n
