The opening is \u201cnot indicative of a larger expansion strategy,\u201d according to a company statement.<\/p>\n
Yet, Salad and Go stores fit the needs of drive-through coffee companies, which are part of a ballooning food-and-beverage sector in the United States. 7 Brew and competitors like Dutch Bros Coffee and Scooter\u2019s Coffee typically occupy small, standalone buildings with double drive-throughs and no dining room. That\u2019s how Salad and Gos were built.<\/p>\n
Compare that with Dutch Bros, which has over 1,250 locations across the U.S.; and Scooter\u2019s, with more than 900, and it’s clear the drive-through drinks industry is booming.<\/p>\n
7 Brew\u2019s model is to serve drinks, fast. It\u2019s popular with Gen Z.<\/p>\n
Beyond coffee, 7 Brew sells energy drinks with names like Tropic Thunder (mango and pineapple) and Pixie Stick (almond, orange and pomegranate). It also pours lemonade, smoothies, milkshakes and chillers, which are slushies that can be customized with cold foam, whipped cream and syrups.<\/p>\n
Salad and Go\u2019s departure leaves dozens of empty shells that seem made for young customers consuming sugary drinks from their cars.
