{"id":971182,"date":"2026-07-31T11:41:50","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T11:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/971182\/"},"modified":"2026-07-31T11:41:50","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T11:41:50","slug":"north-phoenix-man-accused-of-leaving-baby-alone-in-hot-apartment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/971182\/","title":{"rendered":"North Phoenix man accused of leaving baby alone in hot apartment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A north Phoenix man is facing a felony charge after police said he left a 10-month-old girl alone for hours in a hot apartment Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Andre Farris Jr., 19, was arrested on a felony charge of child abuse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"The bond for Andre Farris, Jr. was set at $25,000.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ISZXLSRZURGVFO2D727BII4JOQ.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>The bond for Andre Farris, Jr. was set at $25,000.(Maricopa County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">According to court documents, apartment maintenance workers arrived at Farris\u2019 apartment on 7th Street north of Bell Road and found the baby in a stroller with Farris nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Police said it was 91 degrees inside the apartment, and the girl did not have access to food or water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Officers were then called, and they said they waited about two hours, but Farris still had not returned to the apartment. It\u2019s unclear how long the baby was left alone before the workers arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">The girl was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
