Called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.almacenelgallo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Almac\u00e9n El Gallo<\/a><\/strong>, it&#8217;s now open in the First on 7th (Burk Burnett) Building at 500 W. 7th St., Suite 175.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant comes from hospitality vets Adrian Burciaga and Martin Quirarte of <a href=\"https:\/\/burciagahospitality.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Burciaga Hospitality Group<\/a>, who say in a release that they drew inspiration from childhood memories of Mexico&#8217;s fondas and cantinas, neighborhood gathering spots where people come together over food and conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Almac\u00e9n El Gallo roughly translates to &#8220;The Rooster Store.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The concept honors food as both nourishment and social ritual, served with warmth, generosity, and purpose,&#8221; they say.<\/p>\n<p>The menu was created by acclaimed Mexican chef <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/rodrigoriverario\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rodrigo Rivera R\u00edo<\/a>, co-founder of KOLI Cocina de Origen in Monterrey &#8211; which earned Michelin Star recognition in 2024 and 2025 &#8211; and one of the leading voices in contemporary regional Mexican cuisine. (Could he turn Fort Worth&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/michelin-guide-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">bad Michelin luck<\/a> around?)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His work is celebrated for its authenticity, technical excellence, and deep respect for local producers and regional traditions,&#8221; the owners say.<\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"34568\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"c41caf532550b8ccf5a3587a77ea32fa\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201600%201200'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/almacen-el-gallo.jpg\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" alt=\"Almacen El Gallo\"\/> Aguachile de Camar\u00f3n El Gallo at Almac\u00e9n El Gallo.Photo by Mariajose Cervantes<\/p>\n<p>Rivera R\u00edo&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.almacenelgallo.com\/menus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">menu<\/a> focuses on traditional cooking throughout the regions of Mexico, with dishes including grilled meats, barbacoa, moles, adobos, stews, and &#8220;broths that speak of regions, journeys, and skilled hands,&#8221; they say. &#8220;Almac\u00e9n El Gallo celebrates authentic, contemporary Mexican interior cuisine rooted in tradition and memory.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There are appetizers, soups and salads, tacos, seafood and meat entrees, a la carte sides, and desserts.<\/p>\n<p>Menu highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ee-ul\">\n<li><strong>Tu\u00e9tanos Asados<\/strong> (Roasted bone marrow with onion glaze, sweet pickled jalape\u00f1os, chili oil, $19)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Betabel en mole rosa<\/strong> (Roasted Beets served over pink mole, pumpkin seeds, salt, jocoque crema, fresh greens, burnt lemon vinaigrette, sweet potato crisps, $19)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jaiba al Pastor Tacos <\/strong>(Soft-shell crab al pastor, pico de gallo, tepache mayo, handmade non-GMO corn tortilla, $12)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tostada de At\u00fan<\/strong> (Yellowfin tuna with mango and cucumber relish, ponzu sauce, guajillo oil, crispy pork rinds, cilantro, avocado, served on a corn tostada, $24)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aguachile de Camar\u00f3n El Gallo <\/strong>(Fresh shrimp cured in clamato, with avocado, crispy onions, served with corn tostadas, $26)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mole Negro Ceremonial<\/strong> (Traditional Oaxaca style mole with grilled organic chicken breast, toasted sesame seeds, banana fried chips, $28)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Camarones San Pancho <\/strong>(Five Nayarit style grilled head-on shrimp, fried Brussels sprouts, mixed-pasilla dressing, $32)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Carnitas de Pato Estilo Quiroga<\/strong> (Crispy half duck carnitas served with au-jus, hoisin refried beans, pickled cabbage, jalape\u00f1os, and flour tortillas, $52)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tenderloin &amp; Tuetano<\/strong> (14 oz beef tenderloin served with roasted bone marrow, shishito peppers, $95)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strip Loin waygu Estilo Norte\u00f1o<\/strong> (14oz Rosewood Ranch waygu, topped with bone marrow roasted salsa, fried green onions, $115)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flan de Elote <\/strong>(Sweet corn custard, peanut ice cream, pineapple, dried coconut, vanilla, toffee sauce, $16)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The restaurant occupies the former Neighbor&#8217;s House Grocery space inside the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortwortharchitecture.com\/500w7th.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">building<\/a> now called First on 7th, formerly a Bank of America Center and originally the Burk Burnett Building, Fort Worth&#8217;s first skyscraper. Built in 1914 and designed by Sanguinet &amp; Staats, the landmark was originally constructed for the State National Bank before later being named for legendary Texas rancher Samuel Burk Burnett, the release reminds.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant&#8217;s interior was designed by Mexico-based designer Carlos Nu\u00f1ez and features La Loter\u00eda-inspired artwork by Mexican illustrator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/rojografito\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fernando R. Cervantes<\/a>, whose pieces draw on the imagery of the traditional Mexican game. Members receive 10 percent off dining at Almac\u00e9n El Gallo and a dedicated space to build and store their collections.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant is now open for lunch and dinner 11 am-9 pm Monday-Thursday, 11 am-10 pm Friday, 3-10 pm Saturday, and 3-8 pm Sunday.
