{"id":97201,"date":"2025-07-27T17:01:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-27T17:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/97201\/"},"modified":"2025-07-27T17:01:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-27T17:01:08","slug":"toddler-dies-after-brother-accidentally-runs-her-over-in-southeast-houston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/97201\/","title":{"rendered":"Toddler dies after brother accidentally runs her over in Southeast Houston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 A 2-year-old girl was tragically killed after police said her brother accidentally ran her over in Southeast Houston.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">It happened on Leonora Street near Bellfort Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Police said a family was unloading groceries when the girl ran into the parking lot playing with a sibling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">They said her older brother was unaware she was behind the pickup truck, backed up and hit her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The family called 911 and tried to render aid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Paramedics rushed the girl to Texas Children\u2019s Hospital where she died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Her brother was not facing charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cThe preliminarily information that we have, and the initial investigation all suggests is that this was just a terrible incident,\u201d said Sgt.
