Some of New York\u2019s first responders are calling for better pay after going four years without a raise.<\/p>\n
The union representing paramedics and EMTs is calling on City Hall to improve working conditions for those saving lives and responding to emergencies across the five boroughs.<\/p>\n
Union president Michael Greco joined \u201cThe Rush Hour\u201d on Friday to talk more about this.<\/p>\n
A City Hall spokesperson responded, saying: \u201cWe continue to be in negotiations with the EMS union and remain fully committed to good-faith bargaining at the table. The Mamdani administration values the vital, life-saving work that our EMS members perform for New Yorkers every single day. We look forward to continuing our productive discussions to reach a fair and sustainable outcome that supports these dedicated first responders while remaining fair to City taxpayers.\u201d<\/p>\n
