{"id":973840,"date":"2026-08-01T16:29:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T16:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/973840\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T16:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T16:29:13","slug":"fort-worth-bbq-greats-join-hill-country-festival-more-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/973840\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth BBQ greats join Hill Country festival &#038; more news"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fort Worth residents with outstanding municipal court citations will have a chance to resolve their cases without fear of arrest during an upcoming, one-day community event.<\/p>\n<p>Fort Worth Municipal Court will host a <strong>Court in the Community Warrant Forgiveness event<\/strong> from 9 am-12 noon Saturday, August 8, at Southwest Community Center, 6300 Welch Ave.<\/p>\n<p>The event will assist up to 120 people with outstanding Fort Worth citations on a first-come, first-served basis, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortworthtexas.gov\/news\/2026\/7\/court-in-community-8\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">according to<\/a> the City of Fort Worth. As a &#8220;Safe Harbor&#8221; event, it allows residents with eligible outstanding citations to appear in court and address their cases without the risk of being arrested.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They also may be eligible for alternatives such as community service or a reduction in their fine based on ability to pay,&#8221; the city says.<\/p>\n<p>To be clear: The event applies only to Fort Worth citations, including Class C criminal cases filed through the Municipal Court, such as traffic violations, city ordinance violations, and penal code violations issued by citation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to court services, the event will offer walk-up resources for community members, including employment and career assistance from <a href=\"https:\/\/goodwillnorthcentraltexas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Goodwill North Central Texas<\/a>.
