{"id":975007,"date":"2026-08-02T05:11:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-02T05:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/975007\/"},"modified":"2026-08-02T05:11:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-02T05:11:23","slug":"perth-and-wa-weather-sunny-start-to-the-week-before-thunderstorms-and-run-of-showers-batter-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/975007\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth and WA weather: Sunny start to the week before thunderstorms and run of showers batter region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Residents in Perth should enjoy the sunny start to the week, before a wet front brings heavy rain and thunderstorms to parts of the state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">After a sunny start to Sunday, the dry weather is set to continue into Monday with showers developing late in the evening on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Metrologists at the Bureau of Meteorology forecast a high chance of showers overnight into Tuesday, hitting the metro area with up to 15mm of rain, and a chance of a thunderstorm first thing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The wet weather is set to ease up slightly by Wednesday, with any rainfall set to stop by the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Temperatures will remain mostly in the high tens, with Wednesday and Thursday set to see the highest temperature for the week of 20C.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Thursday will bring more rain to the metro area, with up to 5mm of rainfall currently forecast largely in the evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">It\u2019ll be a wet finish to the week, with BOM predicting a very high chance of showers throughout the day as up to 10mm of rain is set to fall across Perth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Across the state, showers will develop over western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern and western parts of the South West Land Division and western Goldfields on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The wet front will bring a chance of thunderstorms near the west coast south of Geraldton in the evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">On Tuesday, meteorologists forecast thunderstorms over the Central West, Lower West and South West districts, with showers continuing in the Gascoyne, Goldfields and western Pilbara.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">These showers are set to continue through into Wednesday, with some light drizzle also expected in the South West Land Division.<\/p>\n<p>PERTH WEATHER FORECAST<\/p>\n<ul class=\"css-hocug1-StyledPNBaseList e1tb42w52\">\n<li class=\"css-174hqq1-StyledPNParagraph-StyledPNTextListItem-StyledPNListItem-StyledPNTextListItem e1tb42w50\"><strong>Sunday<\/strong>: Mostly sunny, Max 19 \u26c5\ufe0f<\/li>\n<li class=\"css-174hqq1-StyledPNParagraph-StyledPNTextListItem-StyledPNListItem-StyledPNTextListItem e1tb42w50\"><strong>Monday<\/strong>: Sunny day.
