Let\u2019s be honest, no one really wants to be the designated driver for an L.A. bar crawl. Taking a page out of New York, Chicago and San Francisco\u2019s playbook, we plan to explore three bars on each line of the L.A. Metro.<\/p>\n
The B Line<\/p>\n
Sunset and Vinyl<\/p>\n
\nHiding on the second floor of an unassuming pizza place, Sunset and Vinyl is a classic cocktail bar dedicated to spinning vinyl all night. The mismatched furniture transports you to a beatnik smoking den, with the possibility of the soundtrack matching just that vibe.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Harvard and Stone<\/p>\n
\nAfter all the cocktails you can stomach, it\u2019s time to dance! Harvard and Stone transports you back to the millennial era with its industrial decor and craft cocktails setting the tone for whatever musical act of the night is up next. The bar is very diverse, but tends to lean towards alternative music acts.<\/p>\n
The Virgil<\/p>\n
\nAnother bar mostly known for their themed music events (some of which are free!), at the Virgil you\u2019re always in for a musical treat. Before heading to the venue, check their weekly or monthly event list to see who\u2019s rocking out or spinning wax for the night.<\/p>\n

The Wolves<\/p>\n
\nLooking for a roaring \u201920s night out? Look no further. The critically acclaimed cocktail bar and restaurant The Wolves first opened its doors almost a decade ago and has remained one of downtown\u2019s most classy late-night spots. If in-house cocktail ingredients aren\u2019t enough, the bar sits in the historic Alexandria Hotel building, as if it couldn\u2019t get any more classy.<\/p>\n
The Normandie Club<\/p>\n
\nLucky for you, that Metro ride saved you the headache you\u2019d get trying to find parking for this K-Town bar. The Normandie Club is an inventive, unapologetic cocktail lounge you\u2019re sure to spend most of the night in. Between the Instagrammable drinks and low-light atmosphere, you\u2019re set for a good time.<\/p>\n
Frank \u2018n Hank<\/p>\n
\nFrank n\u2019 Hank\u2019s isn\u2019t anything fancy, but it isn\u2019t trying to be. This classic K-Town dive bar is cheap, tiny and exactly the place you want to end the night. They pour a strong gin and tonic and have a solid jukebox with alternative hits from every decade. If you do want to play pool, however, make sure to get your name on the list the second you walk in.<\/p>\n
The C Line<\/p>\n
Highly Likely<\/p>\n
\nCafe-by-day and cocktail bar-by-night, Highly Likely does it all. As if the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus couldn\u2019t get any better, they have both a daytime and nighttime cocktail menu, meaning this bar crawl could really start any time of day. Their current summer lineup features refreshing twists on old-school cocktails, and is a perfect way to cool off from the heat.<\/p>\n
The Den Bar and Grill<\/p>\n
\nThe Den Bar and Grille is a family-owned local spot that hosts a myriad of events such as paint and sip nights, karaoke, bands, burlesque, DJs\u2014absolutely anything you can think of. If you\u2019re in the mood to keep the cocktails flowing, they do have a unique Mexican-inspired list that tends to follow the theme of whatever event is happening that night.<\/p>\n
Sam First<\/p>\n
\nBetween the beautiful mid-century-modern interior and rhythmic jazz, Sam First is the perfect way to end the C Line bar crawl. Ambiance doesn\u2019t even begin to describe this stylized bar, and the extensive spirits list only makes it better. Sam First features anyone from world-class musicians to budding jazz bands straight out of music school<\/p>\n
The A Line<\/p>\n
Footsie\u2019s<\/p>\n
\nYou are certain to find yourself in some trouble at Footsie\u2019s. You don\u2019t come to this punk bar for a cocktail served in a long-stemmed martini glass; you come to dance to goth, new wave, punk and other alternative DJs. This bar is home for many Angelenos, so make sure you come in ready to have a good time.<\/p>\n
La Cuevita<\/p>\n
