A rotting 58-year-old man\u2019s body was found with a knife sticking out <\/a>of his neck inside a Brooklyn home Sunday afternoon, according to cops and sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police were summoned to the home for a wellness check when they made the gruesome discovery around 12:41 p.m. inside a brownstone at 716 Madison St. in Bed-Stuy, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was pronounced dead at the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear how long he was there but sources said his body was \u201chighly decomposed\u201d with a knife protruding from his neck.<\/a><\/p>\n

The man\u2019s cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner,<\/a> police said.<\/p>\n

His identity has yet to be released pending family notification.<\/p>\n
