{"id":977153,"date":"2026-08-03T04:48:19","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T04:48:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/977153\/"},"modified":"2026-08-03T04:48:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T04:48:19","slug":"cleveland-county-officials-ask-for-help-locating-loose-caiman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/977153\/","title":{"rendered":"Cleveland County officials ask for help locating loose caiman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cleveland County Sheriff&#8217;s Office asks for help finding loose caiman<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/21514b79-66e1-4a09-b958-b813b7b12050_1768014597.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" alt=\"Darian Curry\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><strong class=\"css-ncbpmr\">CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. \u2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">Authorities are asking for the public&#8217;s help in finding a caiman that got loose over the weekend in Cleveland County. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">The caiman was reported loose near Sunnylane Estates at South Sunnylane Road and East Indian Hills Road. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">In a news release, the Cleveland County Sheriff&#8217;s Office encouraged people who live in that area to keep an eye on any pets and to call 911 if they see the animal. <\/p>\n<p>What is a caiman? <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"5\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/animal\/caiman-reptile-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">caiman<\/a> is a small-to-medium sized predatory reptile that belongs to the alligator family. There are several distinctive species native to Central and South America. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">Caimans look very much like alligators and crocodiles, and they mostly live along the edges of rivers and other bodies of water.
